Cardinal Pell renews plea against embryo research

Sydney, Nov. 27 ( - Cardinal George Pell of Sydney, Australia, has renewed his argument against legislation that would expand the scope of embryonic stem-cell research. Removing the existing restraints, the cardinal told the Sunday Telegraph would "waste government money on unproductive research." He stressed that no studies have shown a practical use of embryonic stem cells, while many researchers have demonstrated medical successes using stem cells derived from adult tissues. Australia's parliament will open debate on the stem-cell measure this week, with a close vote expected. Proponents of the embryo research expect an eventual victory, but Cardinal Pell said that the political trend in favor of the researchers is based on "ignorance and confusion." "Few Australians would know that the bill proposes to legalise the manufacture of cloned embryos with only one genetic parent; hybrid embryos with multiple genetic parents, and embryos whose mother is an aborted girl fetus," the cardinal told the Telegraph. A clear public understanding of the legislative proposal, he said, would cause legislators to realize the dangers involved.

Congress to Hold Vote on Abortion-Fetal Pain Measure Next Week

by Steven Ertelt Editor
November 27, 2006

Washington, DC ( -- The House of Representatives
will hold the first-ever vote next week on a measure that would
inform women considering an abortion after 20 weeks into
pregnancy that their baby will feel intense pain as a result of
the abortion.

The bill also requires abortion practitioners to offer the mother
a chance to give the baby anesthesia beforehand.
Rep. Chris Smith, a pro-life New Jersey Republican, is the lead
sponsor of the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act (H.R. 6099) and 93
members of the House have signed on as co-sponsors.

The measure came into existence following testimony in Congress
during debate on the federal partial-birth abortion ban as
witnesses testified that unborn children past 20 weeks from
fertilization feel excruciating pain during the course of an

The House will consider the bill under the "Suspension Calendar"
which means the legislation needs a two-thirds vote in order to

Whether the bill receives the necessary two-thirds vote,
consideration of the measure provides pro-life lawmakers the
first real chance to start a national discussion of the pain
babies feel during abortions.

A doctor who is considered the leading expert on fetal pain says
he has no doubt that babies have the capacity to feel intense
pain by the second trimester. In the third trimester of
pregnancy, he says the internal systems for feeling pain are
completely developed.

Dr. Kanwaljeet Anand of the University of Arkansas Medical Center
has confirmed that the baby's ability to feel pain before birth.

In a June interview with a Little Rock television station he said
an unbon child's ability to feel pain "will develop sometime
during the second trimester and by the third trimester the pain
system is completely functional.

Anand has said medical studies conclude that unborn babies are
"very likely" to be "extremely sensitive to pain during the
gestation of 20 to 30 weeks."

"This is based on multiple lines of evidence," Dr. Anand said.
"Not just the lack of descending inhibitory fibers, but also the
number of receptors in the skin, the level of expression of
various chemicals, neurotransmitters, receptors, and things like

Anand explained that later-term abortion procedures, such as a
partial-birth abortion, "would be likely to cause severe pain."

A British study conducted in April confirms Anand's explanation
about fetal pain.

Published in the Journal of Neuroscience by a team from
University College London, the study analyzed brain scans taken
on premature babies when blood was being drawn from them.

The results found that babies as young as 24 weeks after
pregnancy can feel pain and the researchers hope the study will
prompt new pain treatment methods.

Dr. Anand said causing an unborn child pain could have adverse
long-term ramifications.

"Some fetuses that are chronically exposed to very toxic
environments will be stressed simply from the fact that they are
in these very loud, very difficult environments," he said.

"There's also this issue of abuse. Abuse of spouse pretty clearly
during pregnancy, and that will have an impact on the brain of
this fetus is developing and what is going to be this child's
behavior," he added.

At the end of this story, it gives you two options. I think you will figure out what option I chose.
A cold March wind danced around the dead of night in Dallas as the doctor walked into the small hospital room of Diana Blessing. She was still groggy from surgery.
Her husband, David, held her hand as they braced themselves for the latest news. That afternoon of March 10, 1991, complications had forced Diana, only 24-weeks pregnant, to undergo an emergency Cesarean to deliver couple's new daughter, Dana Lu Blessing.
At 12 inches long and weighing only one pound nine ounces, they already knew she was perilously premature.
Still, the doctor's soft words dropped like bombs.
"I don't think she's going to make it," he said, as kindly as he could.

"There's only a 10-percent chance she will live through the night, and even then, if by some slim chance she does make it, her future could be a very cruel one"

Numb with disbelief, David and Diana listened as the doctor described the devastating problems Dana would likely face if she survived.

She would never walk, she would never talk, she would probably be blind, and she would certainly be prone to other catastrophic conditions from cerebral palsy to complete mental retardation, and on and on.
"No! No!" was all Diana could say.
She and David, with their 5-year-old son Dustin, had long dreamed of the day they would have a daughter to become a family of four.
Now, within a matter of hours, that dream was slipping away
But as those first days passed, a new agony set in for David and Diana. Because Dana's underdeveloped nervous system was essentially 'raw', the lightest kiss or caress only intensified her discomfort, so they couldn't even cradle their tiny baby girl against their chests to offer the strength of their love.
All they could do, as Dana struggled alone beneath the ultraviolet light in the tangle of tubes and wires, was to pray that God would stay close to their precious little girl.
There was never a moment when Dana suddenly grew stronger.
But as the weeks went by, she did slowly gain an ounce of weight here and an ounce of strength there.
At last, when Dana turned two months old. Her parents were able to hold her in their arms for the very first time.
And two months later, though doctors continued to gently but grimly warn that her chances of surviving, much less living any kind of normal life, were next to zero, Dana went home from the hospital, just as her mother had predicted.
Five years later, when Dana was a petite but feisty young girl with glittering gray eyes and an unquenchable zest for life.
She showed no signs whatsoever of any mental or physical impairment. Simply, she was everything a little girl can be and more. But that happy ending is far from the end of her story.
One blistering afternoon in the summer of 1996 near her home in Irving , Texas , Dana was sitting in her mother's lap in the bleachers of a local ball park where her brother Dustin's baseball team was practicing.
As always, Dana was chattering nonstop with her mother and several other adults sitting nearby when she suddenly fell silent. Hugging her arms across her chest, little Dana asked, "Do you smell that?"
Smelling the air and detecting the approach of a thunderstorm, Diana replied, "Yes, it smells like rain."
Dana closed her eyes and again asked, "Do you smell that?"
Once again, her mother replied, "Yes, I think we're about to get wet. It smells like rain."
Still caught in the moment, Dana shook her head, patted her thin shoulders with her small hands and loudly announced, "No, it smells like Him.
It smells like God when you lay your head on His chest."
Tears blurred Diana's eyes as Dana happily hopped down to play with the other children.
Before the rains came, her daughter's words confirmed what Diana and all the members of the extended Blessing family had known, at least in their hearts, all along.
During those long days and nights of her first two months of her life, when her nerves were too sensitive for them to touch her, God was holding Dana on His chest and it is His loving scent that she remembers so well.
You now have 1 of 2 choices. You can either pass this on and let other people catch the chills like you did or you can delete this and act like it didn't touch your heart like it did mine.
"I can do all things in Him who strengthens me."
This morning when the Lord opened a window to Heaven, He saw me, and He asked: "My child, what is your greatest wish for today?" I responded: "Lord please, take care of the person who is reading this message, their family and their special friends. They deserve it and I love them very much"
The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginning, but not its end.

"Our Western way of life has come to a parting of the ways; time's takeover bid for eternity has reached the point at which irrevocable decisions have to be taken. Either we go on with the process of shaping our own destiny without reference to any higher being than man, deciding ourselves how many children should be born, when and in what varieties, which lives are worth continuing and which should be put out, from whom spare parts - kidneys, hearts, genitals, brain-boxes even - shall be taken and to whom allotted. Or we draw back, seeking to understand and fall in with our Creator's purpose for us rather than pursue our own; in true humility praying, as the founder of our religion and our civilization taught us: Thy will be done.

"This is what the abortion controversy is about, and what the euthanasia controversy will be about when, as must inevitably happen soon, it arises. The logical sequel to the destruction of what are called 'unwanted children' will be the elimination of what will be called 'unwanted lives' --a legislative measure which so far in all human history only the Nazi government has ventured to enact.

"In this sense the abortion controversy is the most vital and relevant of all. For we can survive energy crisis, inflation, wars, revolutions and insurrections, as they have been survived in the past; but if we transgress against the very basis of our moral existence, becoming our own gods in our own universe, then we shall surely and deservedly perish from the earth."

MALCOLM MUGGERIDGE (London Sunday Times) (
March 24, 1903November 14, 1990) was a British journalist, author, satirist, media personality, soldier-spy and Christian scholar. He converted to the Roman Catholic Faith in his later years, probably through the influence of Blessed Mother Teresa. What's amazing is his insight to our present days where not only abortion is widespread but euthanasia is fast moving through the world, experiments on the unborn, cloning, etc., etc. I'm sure he would be a great Pro-Lifer, if he was living our days!!!

Another sad fact: women are using abortion as contraception! Almost half of the women who are having abortions are repeating again and again! Below is a short news clip about this sorrowful fact:

Repeat Abortions in the US on the Rise; Now Half of All Abortions

by Steven Ertelt Editor
November 22
, 2006

New York, NY ( -- Repeat abortions used to account for about 40 percent of all abortions in the United States, but a new study from the Alan Guttmacher Institute shows that figure is on the rise. Now, about half of every abortion done annually is an abortion done on a woman who has had at least one previous abortion.

The study from AGI, the research arm of Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion business, examined the abortions done on women in 2002.

AGI said the typical profile of a woman having a repeat abortion is someone over the age of 30 who already has children and was using contraception at the time of the pregnancy.

Women seeking repeat abortions were also mostly lower-income women and 60 percent already had at least one child.

The research group relied on different surveys from both government and private groups to compile its research report and it indicated that one government survey of abortions from 2001-2002 showed 48 percent of women having repeat abortions.

Rachel Jones, a senior research associate on the study, told Reuters that the AGI survey "suggests that we need to do a better job helping all women better prevent unwanted pregnancies, so they can avoid having to decide whether to seek abortions or raise children they are not prepared for."

The survey also showed that one in three women had given birth to a baby in an unplanned pregnancy and 10 percent of all women had more than one unintended birth.

Sharon Camp, the president and CEO of AGI, told Reuters, that the solution to the repeat abortion problem was more abortions.

Camp urged promoting abortion businesses so abortion practitioners could tell women about contraception use after they have an abortion -- even thought most women having repeat abortions were using contraception at the time.

She also claimed the Bush administration's "wall of separation" between family planning clinics and abortion centers led to more abortions.

I'm posting this news item to remind everyone that all Americans have the "right of free speech!" This is not Nazi Germany or communist Russia! The police forces of the U.S. are there to protect and defend all Americans, not to harass or stop legal protests. Wake up people! Your rights are slowly being taken away by the Anti-life forces who want to control your very thoughts!

Detroit Police Harass Pro-Life Supporters, Shut Down Free Speech Outside Superbowl

DETROIT, November 22, 2006 ( - Alliance Defense Fund allied attorneys filed suit Monday against Detroit police for violating the free speech rights of six pro-life supporters, all of whom were harassed and later prevented from expressing their views outside the Superbowl in February 2006.

"Detroit police need to be reminded that free speech is the right of all Americans, not just a select few," said ADF-allied attorney Ted Hoppe. "They clearly acted in violation of the Constitution when they chose to single out and squelch pro-life speech."

After learning of the group's plans to demonstrate Feb. 5, police first instructed them to move to the other side of the street. They were later told by a second officer that they would be restricted to a traffic island. Signs critical of abortion were confiscated after the group refused officers' demands to turn them around.

Police also towed away a car bearing pictures of aborted children and impounded it for two days. Officers refused to provide their names and badge numbers when the protesters requested them. Officers did not approach other people with signs carrying various other messages.

"It is truly disturbing when officers of the law must be re-educated about the tenets of the Constitution," Hoppe said. "Whether certain speech is considered 'popular' or not is entirely irrelevant. Their harassment of these individuals, who were acting peacefully in exercising their First Amendment rights, must be rectified and prevented from occurring in the future."

The American Colleges of Obstetrics and gynecology officially stated, ". . . the inherent risk of an abortion is not fully appreciated, both by many in the profession, and certainly not by the public."

Dr. J. K. Russell, Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England, reported, "The public got the idea that therapeutic abortion is easily and quickly done and carries few complications. This is wrong.
There are complications." [My emphasis]

Dr. Paul Brenner, who helped liberalize California's abortion law, said [a few years ago], "I am appalled at the conditions under which the vast majority of these now-legalized procedures are being performed."

Mothers who abort their babies may suffer infection, hemorrhage, sterility, blood clotting, brain damage, perforation or laceration of the womb and other dangerous complications and, later in life, tubal pregnancies, chronic miscarriage or premature birth.

Is it enough for you simply to believe abortion is wrong?

Or must you do more to protect the right to life of unborn infants who cannot speak for themselves?

Many people say they will not oppose abortion because (1) they would like to reduce the number of "unwanted" children, (2) they believe in women's rights, (3) they are reluctant to impose their moral or religious beliefs on the rest of society.

Let's look at the facts.

First there is a great shortage of babies for adoption. If an expectant mother does not want her child, isn't it better to let the child be born and adopted by a couple who wants children than to kill the child by abortion?

Second, although many women's rights proponents say a woman has a right to do what she wants with her own body, does this include the right to destroy the body and life of the human being (perhaps another tiny woman) within her womb?

Finally, let's take the question of imposed morality. The morality--or lack of it--in a society is set by the people within that society.

You are a member of this society, of this state. You have a voice--and a civic obligation--to help provide the atmosphere in which you want your children and your children's children to be raised.

You must speak for the unborn child. You must talk to friends, relatives, neighbors--and convince them the unborn child is a human being with a God-given right to life. You must make them understand that killing by abortion should be opposed as vigorously as any other destruction of human life.

When does human life begin? When does the tiny child developing inside the mother actually become a human being? When is it a real person, an individual with all the basic rights that all human beings have -- particularly the right to life?

At the moment of conception, all the necessary elements that create a new human being are present. When the chromosomes of the father and the mother unite, they form an absolutely unique, never-to-be-duplicated human person. At that moment, life begins. From that moment on, any further formation of the person is purely a matter of development, growth and maturation.

From the moment of conception, the child grows, and keeps growing until life ends.

At three weeks, the tiny human being, only one-tenth of an inch long, already has the beginnings of eyes, spinal cord, nervous system, lungs, stomach, intestines. The primitive heart, which began beating in the 18th day, now pumps more confidently. All this before the mother may even be aware of this new life within her.

By six and one-half weeks, the child is making body movements, a full 12 weeks before the mother may notice such stirrings.

At eight weeks, the developing child can make a tiny fist, get hiccups, suck a thumb, wake and sleep.

At 11 weeks, although the placenta sac may appear to be only a mass of lifeless tissue, inside of it is a human being with all the body systems formed and at work.

At 16 weeks, the child is only 5 inches long, but has already formed toes, fingers and facial features.

The 18-week-old child is active and enegetic, flexes muscles, punches and kicks. Now the mother feels the child's movements. Some would say that at this time--the time of "quickening"--life begins: but the development actually began at conception, 18 weeks earlier.

While growing within the mother, the child develops separately from her with a separate, individual blood supply. The child's life is not the mother's life, but a separate, individual life.

And the child has as much right to this life as the mother has to hers, or as any other human beings of any age have to theirs.

The right to life is the most fundamental right of every human person. To violate this right, to destroy a life, to kill a human being at any age or stage of development--whether in the womb or out of the womb--is a crime against society, against man and against God.

At the Seattle Special Olympics, not long ago, nine contestants, all physically or mentally disabled assembled at the starting line for the 100-yard dash. At the gun, they all started out, not exactly in a dash, but with a relish to run the race to the finish and win.
All, that is, except one little boy who stumbled on the asphalt, tumbled over a couple of times, and began to cry. The other eight heard the boy cry. They slowed down and looked back. Then they all turned around and went back . . . every one of them!
One girl with Down's Syndrome bent down and kissed him, and said, "This will make it better." Then all nine linked arms and walked together to the finish line.

What Really Matters!

Everyone in the stadium stood; the cheering went on for several minutes. People who were there are still telling the story. Why?
Because deep down we know this one thing: What matters in this life is more than winning for ourselves. What matters in this life is helping others to win, even if it means slowing down and changing our course.
Respect Life! Because every child is created in God's image and to know, love and serve Him. We can do this when we love and serve each other.
God Bless us all+

Here's a link to an interesting article in The American Spectator on the Newly elected Pro-Life Democrats, who may turn the tide against abortion on demand!

Dr. Eric Keroack

The AP is reporting this story, which is good news for those of us who respect life and the dignity of childbearing!:

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration, to the consternation of its critics, has picked the medical director of an organization that opposes premarital sex, contraception and abortion to lead the office that oversees federally funded teen pregnancy, family planning and abstinence programs.

The appointment of Eric Keroack, a Marblehead, Mass. obstetrician and gynecologist, to oversee the federal Office of Population Affairs and its $283 million annual budget has angered family-planning advocates.

Keroack currently is medical director of A Woman's Concern, a Christian nonprofit. The Dorchester, Mass.-based organization runs six centers in the state that offer free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds and counseling. It also works to "help women escape the temptation and violence of abortion," according to its statement of faith. And it opposes contraception, saying its use increases out-of-wedlock pregnancy and abortion rates.

"A Woman's Concern is persuaded that the crass commercialization and distribution of birth control is demeaning to women, degrading of human sexuality and adverse to human health and happiness," its contraception policy reads in part.

How true! Thank You Jesus, for giving us this very special person in this time of need!

Blessed Mother

My dear little daughter, how I love you and wait to hold you in my arms. I watch you so carefully, alert to any opportunity to bring you to Jesus. I have seen every pain that you have suffered. I have witnessed each bitter tear. You will be fine, now, if you let us heal you. I want to take you by your hand and bring you to my Son. I will tell Him that I am proud of you because you are courageous in admitting your mistakes and asking for forgiveness. Can you imagine the smile Jesus will have for you? He is so beautiful and His eyes will fill with love for you. You see, Jesus does not care what you have done. He does not sit and think constantly about your mistakes. He thinks constantly about your heart and its brokenness. He thinks constantly about His need to have you safe in the family of Christ. He considers all of the good that you are capable of bringing to other souls. Jesus needs you. I, your heavenly mother, need you. Will you help us? Come to your mother now and rest your head against me. You do not see me but I promise you that I am with you. I will never leave you. I have brought many women back to Jesus and they give Him the greatest love and fidelity. That is how I can see you, my daughter. I see you as a loyal, loving servant of Jesus, Who desires to place constant healing graces into your soul.

St. Mary Magdalene

Sisters, I thank God for you. Your kindness to other women will bring more souls home to heaven. I never judged another woman after my conversion because I understood why a woman would make the choices that she made. Some choices are wrong. We all know that. Who can say that all choices are the correct choices? Here in heaven, we look at events in the world. I, in particular, see women who are assaulted sexually. I am familiar with the emotions that can erupt in a woman after such a thing occurs, either in childhood or in adulthood. These emotions, if not brought to heaven for healing, can result in bad choices. Perhaps you understand what I am referring to. Our bodies are intended for the most beautiful service to the Kingdom. The sexual relationship between a man and a woman is holy and right when it is blessed by God. The sexual relationship between a man and a woman is neither holy nor right when it is not blessed by God. And when someone is used as an object for sin, all of heaven is disappointed. You are God's cherished woman. Do not allow your body to be misused. If this occurs against your will, you must be certain to talk to others who have been misused in this way. Seek out others who are holy and who have healed. They will help you to understand that your sexuality is not something that can be taken from you by force. Also, your sexuality is not something that is impacted by being raped because you did not give freely. What I am saying to you is that your sexuality is intact and as beautiful as God created it. Also, if you have fallen victim to the modern deception that sinful physical intimacy is acceptable, you are not alone. Many holy souls have also made these mistakes. But here is God's promise to you. Confess your sins. Pour them all out where they cannot hurt you and He, Jesus, will take them away. They will be cast into the fires of His Sacred Heart and they will be incinerated and gone forever. Jesus will grant you complete healing. Be patient and let Him do this for you. Your purity will be returned to you and your beautiful sexuality will be restored to its original state. Remember that I told you that heaven speaks with great authority? Well, you can be assured that this promise comes from the Throne of God. Walk in joy, dear sister of mine, because Jesus loves you.

St. Mary Magdalene

Dearest sister in Christ, this is the time to heal. Jesus is sending this period for all souls to return to His Sacred Heart. His healing graces are never ending. There is enough for every bit of spiritual and emotional healing that is necessary for every soul who has ever been injured in any way. I am urging you to take advantage of this now so that you can return fully to the family of God and work for your brothers and sisters who remain in darkness and loneliness. So many are unloved. If you spend this period of time working for other souls in your life, wherever Jesus has placed you, there will be joy in heaven. You will give glory to Jesus and to your children who have come before you. They will be proud that you are their mother because you serve them on earth by serving Jesus. Do you believe me, my sister? I speak the truth. We in heaven never exaggerate and we never tell untruths. We speak carefully and our words are backed by God Himself. Your children love you and have complete understanding of the fears that moved you to your decision. You will see them and you will spend eternity with them. There is only joy in heaven. Surely you understand that there will be no recriminations and you will have no grief in this divine land. You will be reunited with all your loved ones and together you will explore the Kingdom of the triumphant souls, who have conquered the world and their humanity. So there is no reason for you not to be joyful and peaceful. Jesus loves you. All the saints love you. The angels work tirelessly for your return to complete joy. And your children wait to be united to their mother.

St. Mary Magdalene

My sisters in Christ, allow me, please, to help you. When you are caught in a web of guilt, it can be difficult to get out. It is actually impossible alone. The problem is that you can think so badly of yourself for your mistake that you begin to lose sight of your dignity and heavenly value. Jesus needs your help and you have to respond to Him. You know this. But before you can respond to Jesus you must allow Him to heal you. So put your hand out and Jesus will give a mighty pull. He will release you from the grip of pain that has held you captive. Jesus looks into your soul and He sees everything. He understands. You will face Him someday. It is inevitable. So face Him today and look closely. All you will see in His beautiful face is love. Jesus does not condemn you. It is the enemy telling you these things. Jesus is all mercy, all understanding. Let Him take your pain and replace it with heavenly joy. Dear sister, do you think for a moment that the darkness of sin in the world has not claimed others in this way? You know that many have fallen victim to the falseness and the distortions of truth. You are not alone, by any means. Many women work hard for the Kingdom and give Jesus great glory. They, also, have allowed their children to be taken in this way. But they returned to Christ in sorrow and He forgave them. He offers this to you now. We will surround you with heavenly grace and then you, too, will work for Jesus and for others. You will give great comfort and joy to these children of yours in heaven if you return to the family of God. There is nothing that should stop you. Come back to the heavenly side where you are cherished, and may I say, so badly needed.

St. Mary Magdalene

I send the most loving greetings to my friends on earth. I am delighted that Jesus allows me to speak at this time. There are great things happening in the world and the renewal makes its way bravely from heaven to earth and from soul to soul. We are watching and helping from heaven. One of the signs that the renewal is necessary is the number of abortions that are occurring. My dear sisters in Christ, this is an abomination. We cannot allow it to continue, neither you, or I. We have to help our sisters to understand that there is a little life nestled in their womb, a life sent by God Himself. To think any differently is to become a plaything of the devil. There must be no discussion about this point in the sense that you must never allow yourself to consider, even for a moment, that a pregnancy does not equal a life, a person, a divine plan. Do not back away from this fact, this irrefutable truth. I want to speak to women who have had abortions and allowed their children to be taken from them in this way. Dear woman, if you think you have committed a graver sin than I, you are wrong. Jesus loves me tenderly and I am a close friend to the Saviour. And yet, I would repel you, if you knew how I had lived a part of my life. We are all the same in that we are all sinners. Nobody in heaven looks at anyone else with anything but love and understanding. This is because we all understand that given the right set of earthly circumstances we could make grave mistakes, such as you did. Your circumstances contributed to your decision. I know this. Jesus knows this. All of heaven knows this. You must accept this, too. If you were in different circumstances, it is likely you would have made a different decision. But it is over and Jesus makes all things new. Let Him make your soul new and you will give Him far greater joy than you gave Him sorrow. I would not tell you something if it were not true. If you return to Jesus with your heart and ask Him for forgiveness, you will have forgiveness and He will forget your sins. He has certainly forgotten mine.

"Anne," a wife and mother of six, who wishes to remain anonymous, reveals her journey to the Heart of Jesus. The messages she hears in her heart, which she believes are from Jesus and Mary and some Saints, reveal the tender, solicitous love that our Savior has for each one of us. Permission to publish these messages has been granted by Anne's bishop, Most Reverend Leo O'Reilly, Diocese of Kilmore, Ireland. The messages are in booklet form titled 'Direction for Our Times', and can be read and downloaded free or purchased at
May you be blessed with God's grace as you read these messages . . .

My children, you are all so precious to Me. there is a temptation for souls to believe that if they have made a grave mistake, they are not welcome in heaven or they are not suitable companionship for Me. This is not true. And this temptation must be fought against. Sin is forgivable. All sin. I want to direct attention here specifically to the sin of abortion. This sin has become so common place in your world that some souls have come to believe it is not serious. Well, dear little soul, you must understand that it is the enemy of all things living who has spread this error. This is a trick, a master deceit of such proportion that it has resulted in the slaughter of many. Now, you may wonder at My feelings on this. I will share them with you. I am grieved, in the extreme. I am sad each time I welcome a rejected little one back to Myself. And they are welcomed home, believe Me. I am all mercy and love and these little ones are in no way at fault, so heaven gives them great joy upon their return. In the same way, we will welcome you home, regardless of your sins. Be at peace. There are many souls in heaven who have committed sins of this magnitude. You might say heaven is filled with sinners, My friend, but these are repentant sinners. Would you like to repent and serve as My beloved apostle? I know that you would and it is for this reason that I have come to you with these words. You are forgiven. I have many things to share with you that will help you to understand your situation. Rest your wounded little heart against Me now as I show you how to return in completeness.
