CALL YOUR CALIFORNIA STATE SENATORS!

AB499 subverts parents' rights, puts youth at sexual and medical risk, and makes the state the decision maker for what is sexually best for your children!

Next Monday, August 15, the California state Senate will reconvene and hearings will begin in the Senate Appropriations Committee. "AB 499 Minors, Medical Care: Consent" is on the list to be heard.  We just learned that Republican Senator Sharon Runner is not planning on attending the opening session of hearings in the Senate Appropriations Committee. That's one vote lost for our side.

CALIFORNIA MOVES TO SUBVERT PARENTS' RIGHTS

AB499 eliminates parental supervision of children's sexual health

(Washington, D.C.) - After failing in 2007 to mandate STD vaccinations for all girls entering junior high, the California legislature is now pushing through a bill to remove parental notification for boys and girls as young as 12 who want to be vaccinated with Gardisil® against a few strains of human papilloma virus-at a reported average cost of over $360 per treatment and at 100 percent taxpayer expense. Dr. Diane Harper, a former lead researcher for the controversial vaccine, told CBS in 2009that serious side effects could prove riskier than the HPV it purports to prevent, and that "young girls and their parents should receive more complete warnings before receiving the vaccine."
