DEACON FOR LIFE

Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

12 San Diego prayer warriors endure cold, rain – and save a baby’s life!

"One young woman decided against having the abortion"

News from the Trenches

Family Planning Associates, San Diego, Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009

The abortion mill was very busy on this cold and rainy morning. However, we were very blessed with the public prayer support of twelve prayer warriors, four of which were children. Thanks be to God, one young woman decided against having the abortion immediately following my discussion of the abortionist's horrific medical record.

Please pray for this young woman and her unborn baby. She said she would contact Culture of Life Family Services, and turned around and left.

Shortly before this turnaround, I had an unusually difficult exchange with a 45-year-old man, who told me he was going to prison for 18 months (having nothing to do with his 20-year-old girlfriend's pregnancy). This man felt compelled to try to persuade me they were justified "in sending their baby to heaven." Sadly, no matter what I said or how I said it to counter or convince him to fight for the life of his baby, he only wanted to talk about two things: how Catholics were all going to hell and how their baby was better off in heaven.

It has been my experience, whenever I encounter someone like this man, a miraculous save is about to take place and indeed, it did. Please pray for the conversion of this couple.

There were several women who had not been in the mill long enough for anything to take place and one, in particular, drove right by us (smiling) shortly after I spoke to her.

David also had the opportunity to speak to several couples, giving out literature, as well as rosaries to post-abortion women.

Thank you to all twelve people who came out on this damp/cold day at FPA for public prayer support and to those, unable to be physically present, who pray at home or at work. It is your prayers that allowed the miraculous save today! Please continue to pray that this young woman goes to Culture of Life Family Services.

Please, also, pray for the conversion of all those who had an abortion today.

In Christ thru Mary,
