Click to Watch My Recent Video on Reclaiming the Culture of Life!      Having just returned from an intense mission with Family Life International New Zealand, I wanted to share with you how vital it is to reclaim the culture for life!   With the Church and many faithful suffering from a laxity in proclaiming the faith, life and family advocates -- clergy, consecrated religious, and laity -- are the key to reclaiming the culture and bringing back the zeal that St. John Paul II both demonstrated and called us to make our own: What is urgently called for is a general mobilization of consciences and a united ethical effort to activate a great campaign in support of life. All together, we must build a new culture of life (Evangelium vitae, 95).   In the footsteps of HLI founder Fr. Paul Marx, O.S.B., we are on the front lines doing just that - mobilizing a great campaign in support of life. This week's Spirit & Life attests to the tireless work of our pro-life missionaries around the world: Seminarians for Life Director Joseph Meaney writes about the sad reality of dying communities along the Camino to Santiago de Compostela; Tanzania government officials are threatening retaliation against those who defend life and family, like HLI Tanzania, for opposing the proposed pro-abortion constitution; and the presence of HLI Latin America affiliates at this month's OAS Summit in Panama helps to thwart the aims of those who promote radical gender ideology. More than ever, HLI's presence through our pro-life and pro-family missionaries is an authentic Catholic "life force" in need of our intense prayers and support.
