Have you heard about the National Pro-Life Scorecard?

As we continue to fight for the unborn in this new and complex era of the pro-life movement, its important for you to know where your elected representatives stand in the fight for life. Answers on key questions from politicians have been shaky at best during interviews but voting records and campaign contributions show a clearer picture.

SBA Pro-Life America is fiercely dedicated to educating the American people by sharing the truth about abortion, the abortion industry, and how elected officials support or fight it.

Our National Pro-Life Scorecard rates every member of Congress on their pro-life voting record, based on their votes on key abortion-related legislation. It also includes information about their campaign contributions from the abortion industry and their public statements on abortion.

I urge you to visit the Scorecard and learn more about your elected officials' positions on abortion. You can also use the Scorecard to contact your elected officials and let them know how you feel about their votes protecting the unborn.

It is our duty to equip you with the truth to advance the front line in the fight for life and keep our elected representatives accountable to the voice of the American people.

LIFE IS SACRED

An example of the traditional magisterial teaching which indicates that it is never morally licit to intentionally kill a child through abortion in order to “save the life of its mother” comes from the teaching of Pope Pius XII:

“Every human being, even the infant in the mother's womb, has the right to life immediately from God, not from the parent or any human society or authority. Therefore, there is no man, no human authority, no science, no medical, eugenic, social, economic or moral ‘indication’ that can show or give valid juridical title for direct deliberate disposition concerning an innocent human life-which is to say, a disposition that aims at its destruction either as an end in itself or as the means of attaining another end that is perhaps in no way illicit itself. Thus, for example, to save the life of the mother is a most noble end, but the direct killing of the child as a means to this end is not licit.”
