Pro-Life Group will Distribute Flyers Exposing Maryland Abortionist

Pro-Life Group will Distribute Flyers Exposing Maryland Abortionist During 10th Annual 'Face the Truth' Tour

MEDIA ADVISORY, July 27 /Christian Newswire/ -- Pro-Life activists from across America kicked off the Defend Life 2010 "Face the Truth" tour in West Virginia on Monday, July 26th.

The purpose for the Face the Truth Tour is to educate the citizens of West Virginia, DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware about the grave injustice of Abortion and the killing of innocent children.

Hundreds of volunteers will gather at 15 strategic locations over 5 days carrying large photographic images of aborted Pre-Born babies to show the true face of this barbaric practice.

"One of our goals for the last 10 years has been to allow the citizens of this region to see the true face of abortion. This tour allows many people to see for the first time that Abortion is the premeditated killing of innocent Pre-Born babies," stated Jack Ames, Director and Founder of Defend Life.

"This year is particularly important since Maryland will join Pennsylvania as the second state in America to use federal tax dollars to pay for abortions under the new health care law signed by President Barack Obama. Maryland will be receiving $85 million in federal funds under ObamaCare for its mandated high-risk insurance pool which will cover abortions," continued Mr. Ames.

"It is shameful that our President deceitfully signed an executive order purporting to block federal funding of abortions while he and his advisors knew all along that child killing would be paid for by the federal government. They will just be funneling the money through the back door of federally mandated high-risk insurance pools," said Jack Ames in closing.

On Wednesday, July 28th, Defend Life supporters will also be distributing flyers in the Annapolis neighborhood of long time abortionist Romeo Ferrer. Defend Life is calling on the Maryland Board of Physicians to revoke Ferrer's license to practice medicine due to numerous complaints of malpractice injuries and one tragic case which resulted in the death of a mother on February 3, 2006.

"Denise Crowe's senseless death may not have occurred if the Maryland Board of Physicians had been more responsible and acted swiftly regarding the numerous complaints and allegations filed against Romeo Ferrer. This board has another opportunity to protect Maryland women by revoking Ferrer's license, but we will see if they have the courage to do the right thing" stated Jack Ames.
