FDA seeks Supreme Court review of lower court's abortion pill ruling

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to review a lower court ruling in the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine (AHM) v. FDA lawsuit, which would roll back expanded use of the abortion pill while a challenge to FDA’s approval of the pill is being heard. In August, the Fifth Circuit ruling returned FDA safety requirements on the abortion pill to those which existed prior to 2016, while the case was litigated.

Danco, the abortion pill’s manufacturer (which profits off the sales of abortion pills and appears to have failed to enforce safety requirements put in place by the FDA), has also filed a brief before the high court.

EVENT ALERT:

Prayer Rally @Magee

The Board of Directors of Magee-Women's Hospital will hold a public meeting on Monday, October 9th, at 4 pm. Magee holds the dubious honor of committing more abortions than any hospital in Pennsylvania. In cooperation with the University of Pittsburgh, they train abortionists and collect aborted baby tissues for macabre research. At 5:30 that day, the Magee Project will hold a rally at the main entrance to the hospital on Halket Street. A prayer walk will follow. Parking on street; carpooling encouraged. The Board is planning to hold a virtual meeting with an opportunity for anyone interested in speaking to have 3-5 minutes to do so if they sign up in advance.

Contact Meredith Parente (theMageeProject@gmail.com) if you have questions or wish to testify at the meeting.

Some thoughts on why abortion activists so hate photos of pre-born babies

If the pre-born are not human, pro-life apologist Scott Klusendorf is fond of saying, then no defence of abortion is necessary. But if they are human, no defence of abortion is adequate. The entire abortion debate hinges on whether or not the person being aborted is, in fact, a person.

Human beings have human rights. Human rights can only begin when the human being begins. And there is an iron-clad scientific consensus as to when a new, unique, and whole human being begins his or her life: At fertilization.

MEDICAL MIRACLE

Doctors partially deliver baby and insert breathing tube to save her life

Doctors at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Fetal Care Center performed surgery on a baby girl who was partially delivered earlier this year after a mass — a benign teratoma — was discovered on her neck. It was compressing her airways, and doctors believed she may not be able to breathe at birth unless they acted to help her. The baby girl was safe in her mother’s womb, but that would change when she was born and was no longer receiving her oxygen through the placenta.
