| My Opinion: One of the Pro-Life Blogs had a poll the other day which asked the question: "Which is more important regarding the election, the environment or abortion?" Shockingly about 78% responded "The Environment!" We have lost our senses! Our heads are in the sand! I even hear about devout Pro-Life Catholics who are going to vote for the pro-abortion candidate for president. Wake up folks! Babies are being slaughtered and sacrificed to the gods of mammon! When the chastisement comes, don't say we were not warned! Deacon John SAN DIEGO, June 24 /Christian Newswire/ -- Global Warming, the economy and the price of gas continue to dominate the agendas of those running for President, when all along there are literally thousands of children each day who are chemically and surgically murdered by abortion. |
Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Pro-Lifers Encouraged to Picket NEA Convention & State HQs
WASHINGTON, June 23 /Christian Newswire/ -- Pro-Lifers are urged to go picket the National Education Association leadership's abortion policies, actions, and agenda at the Washington Convention Center on July 2nd between 10:00AM and 2:00PM or NEA-State-Affiliate-HQs across America from 11:00AM through 1:00PM.
"We're asking pro-life teachers, parents, students, clergy, and everybody else to come. Bring your pro-life friends, family members, and picket signs," said Bob Pawson, National Coordinator of Pro-Life Educators And Students, primary sponsor of the event.
"This is an incredibly unique media opportunity for Pro-Lifers. National and worldwide press coverage at NEA's Convention should be massive because of NEA's press release stating that NEA's 9,000 delegates will 'vote to recommend that NEA's 3.2 million members support Barack Obama'. Obama will address the teachers at the NEA convention," said Pawson, an NEA-NJEA teacher from Trenton.
"Pro-lifers should give hundreds of TV crews, reporters, photographers, and radio microphones something wonderfully out-of-the-ordinary to report. NEA leaders pride themselves on doing the picketing; not being the target of picketing; especially on a nationwide scale by coalitions of pro-life NEA members, taxpayer parents, and students – the very people NEA supposedly serves," said Pawson.
"It is vital that individual pro- lifers reading or hearing this report commit themselves to personally attending these demonstrations. Your presence is needed and appreciated. Please recruit and mobilize others. Help rebuke the NEA leadership's abortion activism."
Pawson says, "Pro- Life NEA members across America should run for union office at all levels; especially to become delegates to the NEA Convention. Help repeal NEA's obnoxious 'Reproductive Freedom' resolution and policy statements regarding issues like Roe v Wade. Let's restore good stewardship over our profession, our students, our union, and our dues monies. Reforming and rescuing the NEA is long overdue. We Christian and Pro-Life NEA members can implement the necessary changes – from within. Let's go! "

Young People Plan to Join Major Protest to Expose the Extremist Abortion Policies of Senator Obama as He Speaks at a California Fundraiser
LOS ANGELES, June 23 /Christian Newswire/ -- Members of the Survivors will join with the Christian Defense Coalition as they launch a national public campaign educating voters on Senator Obama's radical support of abortion.
The protest will be on Tuesday, June 24, at 4:00 P.M., at the Music Center located at 135 Grand Ave. in downtown Los Angeles.
This event will kick-off a nationwide campaign called "Barack Obama: The Abortion President" in which there will be major demonstrations at appearances by Senator Obama drawing attention to his pro-abortion views.
If elected, Senator Obama would be the most pro- abortion in American history.
Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Washington, D.C. based Christian Defense Coalition, "We are delighted to have members of this emerging generation join with us in exposing the radical pro- abortion views of Senator Obama. Senator Obama supports abortion on demand, Partial-Birth Abortion, wants Americans to pay for abortion through his healthcare plan and expand abortion rights through the Freedom of Choice Act.
"We intend to make Senator Obama's extremist pro- abortion policies a major part of the presidential campaign as we call for him to end his violence against America's children. We will especially focus on educating conservative Catholics and young evangelicals concerning Senator Obama's radical abortion policies and calling for him to build a culture of life and stand for social justice."
Danielle White Versluys, National Special Events Director for Survivors, states, "As a mother to small children, I want to believe in Senator Obama's call for change, hope, and a better America. As a young woman, I want to believe Senator Obama has my interests at heart. However, Senator Obama continues to embrace abortion on demand - extreme policies that result in the deaths of thousands of my daughters' peers every day from abortion. We will never have a better America as long as the most helpless of our citizens are denied basic rights inside the womb."
Miriam Soto of Young Chicanos for Life says, "One reason Latinos don't support Senator Obama is because of his radical views on the issue of abortion. Being a young Chicano mother, I refuse to show support to a candidate who promotes abortion up to the day of birth and who thinks a baby is a punishment instead of a precious gift."

"Is This What You Mean?" Project: The Abortion Procedure Revealed – A Challenge to Politicians and Voters
Priests for Life has launched a special project called "Is This What You Mean?" It aims to:
1) Reveal the nature of the abortion procedure to the public, and
2) Challenge public officials and candidates who support the legality of abortion to admit what abortion is.
The project is explained in its entirety at www.priestsforlife.org/action/abortion-procedure-revealed.htm.
The project makes use of You Tube videos at www.YouTube.com/frfrankpavone, and of quotes from abortionists, found on the project page at www.priestsforlife.org/action/abortion-procedure-revealed.htm.
We are asking people to
a) view the videos we made about the abortion procedure;
b) read the quotes we provide from abortionists, and
c) use that information on blogs, in editorials, at town hall meetings, and in public and private sessions with abortion supporters to ask them, "When you say the word "abortion," is this what you mean?"
This effort, in which anyone can participate, draws a line in the sand and gives candidates and office-holders alike this challenge:
If you're going to take a position on abortion, then you're going to have to come clean about what it is. We are no longer going to let you obscure or trivialize the issue. Whether people agree with you or not, you owe it to them to be honest about what you're talking about.
Therefore we issue this simple call to honesty: We will describe abortion to you, and you tell us if that's what you're talking about.
That's it, pure and simple. This is not a debate, nor a threat. It's a call to clarity, a demand for honesty. That is not partisan, nor is it unreasonable; it is not fanatical or inappropriate in any way. Nor is this about religion or morality.
We just want to make sure that we're hearing you. When you say "abortion," we just want to make sure we're both talking about the same thing.
The full URL of the page describing this project is www.priestsforlife.org/action/abortion-procedure-revealed.htm
The specific locations of the videos are as follows:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=us_y9GP_-DA - Dismemberment D&E Procedure
www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBOAPleF1t0 - Suction Abortion Procedure
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDpcj1DUcTw - Prostaglandin Procedure
How can you help with this project?
1) Alert people to the project, the videos, and the quotes, by
· Emailing your friends, family, everyone in your address book.
· Going into chat rooms, blogs, message boards, etc…
· If you have your own website or blog, announce the project there and provide links.
· Writing letters to the editor.
· Speaking out in town meetings or other public venues.
2) Help drive the number of views of the You Tube videos into the hundreds of thousands in a short time, so that we can make the video a news story. Seek young people who will volunteer time to reference it all over the internet.
3) Using the videos and quotes from the abortionists, diagrams, ask "pro-choice" politicians (whether they are candidates or already in public office) if this is what they mean when they say "abortion." Yes or no. Ask it publicly. Ask it repeatedly. Ask it in all the ways mentioned above – emails, letters, internet etc….. Those whose support they are seeking deserve to know.
4) We have additional resources that reveal the nature of the abortion procedure and can also be used for this project. They are a DVD called "The Procedure," and two diagrams of the most common procedures.

Dear Pro-life Friends:
American Life League has just posted the latest ALL Report on both blip.tv and YouTube. This report is on the latest statement from the AMA, who is attacking pharmacists for refusing to dispense abortive and contraceptive drugs. Interesting how the "pro-choice" crowd is pro-"Choice," just as long as you choose abortion and contraception. But if you want to "choose" to go along with your conscience ... well, too bad, so sad.
In any event, you can find the blip.tv version at: http://www.allreport.blip.tv/#1023110, and the YouTube version at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwz_sbzx6DU.

Columbus, OH (LifeNews.com) -- A new Ohio law saying abortion practitioners must give the woman an opportunity to view the active ultrasound image of the unborn child went into effect on Friday. The measure is another effort to give women information on fetal development they don't normally receive before an abortion.
