Live Action to Release New Planned Parenthood Expose Monday
The new expose will show how opponents of recognizing the right to life of unborn children in Mississippi, backed by Planned Parenthood, are using lies and scare tactics to manipulate the public. Mississippi residents will vote on November on a personhood amendment that would define human life as beginning at conception.
Whether the amendment would actually ban abortions is a subject of considerable debate within the pro-life movement, but Live Action is looking to expose how Planned Parenthood and abortion backers are misleading the public on the amendment that voters will consider on November 8.
Live Action released undercover videos in February documenting Planned Parenthood, the nation s biggest abortion chain, aiding and abetting suspected child sex trafficking from management on down, the pro-life group added in its email to LifeNews about the new expose planned for Monday. The videos led to the first-ever successful vote in the House of Representatives to defund Planned Parenthood and the diversion of over $60 million in taxpayer subsidies from the abortion giant on the state level. As a further result of Live Action s undercover work, Planned Parenthood is now also the subject of a congressional investigation by the Subcommittee for Oversight and Investigations in the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
Three of the videos Live Action released earlier this year covered Planned Parenthood centers in Virginia and they joined two other videos the group has released of a Perth Amboy, New Jersey abortion business and a Planned Parenthood center in Richmond, Virginia both of which had staffers helping the alleged sex traffickers find information on how to obtain abortions without facing scrutiny and get STD testing for the girls. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/10/28/live-action-to-release-new-planned-parenthood-expose-monday/
Girl Scouts Convention Features Pro-Abortion Speakers
The Girl Scouts have come under fire from pro-life advocates for various connections to the Planned Parenthood abortion business with former Planned Parenthood abortion facility direct Abby Johnson suggesting that pro-life Girl Scouts quit the organization.
The Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA) will celebrate 100 years of existence during its 52nd National Convention on November 10-13 with a slate of keynote speeches and plenary speakers. However, the watchdog group Speak Now Girl Scouts tells LifeNews today that they underscore the once venerable organization s penchant for far left agendas targeted for today s young members.
Speak Now spokeswoman Christy Volanski says the speakers build on the problems prolife advocates had with the 2005 Girls Scouts convention, where GSUSA drew criticism for having Kavita Ramdas, the CEO of the pro-abortion group Global Fund for Women and Dr. Johnetta Cole, an abortion advocate whose views eventually Global Fund for Women and Dr. Johnetta Cole, at their event. In 2008, the Girl Scouts honored pro-abortion activist Marie Wilson, founder of the Reproductive Rights Coalition and Organizing Fund, president of the Ms Foundation for Women and the founder and President of the White House Project. Cain: Not Telling The Truth If You Say I m Not Pro-Life
I am pro-life, and believe in advancing the culture of life. My record as a pro-life candidate speaks for itself, Cain said the new statement, according to CNN. Anyone who says differently is simply not telling the truth. Next question.
Cain also, on Thursday at the campaign stop in Texas, said he is pro-life, no exceptions, but Fox indicates a campaign spokesman says Cain takes the same position on abortion as President George W. Bush, who was pro-life on abortions except in cases of rape or incest. The advisor also reportedly said Cain has learned more about the issue including about women who become pregnant after rape.
Meanwhile, J.D. Gordon, a Cain senior advisor who is the Vice President for communications for the Cain campaign, also sough to underscore Cain s pro-life views in a new statement he provided to Alveda King, a pro-life African-American activist who is the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
As President Mr. Cain will uphold the prolife movement legislatively, Gordon said. But one cannot legislate morality in this situation. Santorum Features Miracle Daughter Bella in New Campaign Ad
During the last debate I mentioned how I was looking forward to taking the red-eye home to see my three year old daughter Bella, who had surgery earlier that day, the Republican presidential candidate said. Following that debate, Karen and I got numerous emails and calls from supporters asking how she was doing. We were so touched by the tremendous outpouring of support, the thoughts and the prayers we received for our sweet Bella.
She is doing great and back to her joyful, smiley self. Planned Parenthood: Prenatal Care at 8% of Clinics, Abortions at 40%
According to Tait Sye, national spokeswoman of Planned Parenthood, 63 of the more than 800 Planned Parenthood facilities in America provide the option of prenatal care to pregnant clients that s 7.8% of the clinics. On the other hand, 321 of the clinics about 40% provide abortion services, and every one refers for abortion, according to Planned Parenthood s website.
A mandate to be implemented would ensure that every Planned Parenthood affiliate will control a minimum of one abortion facility by 2013, expanding those services even further.
Planned Parenthood boasts that 3% of their services have to do with abortion, but that statistic is deliberately misleading. Look at the numbers on their most recent Fact Sheet (their latest stats are from 2009). Planned Parenthood did 332,278 abortions while they saw nearly three million people. Therefore, 11% of Planned Parenthood clients obtained abortions. Info Sought on Planned Parenthood Records Sebelius Destroyed
A hearing on the case, which sees the Planned Parenthood of Mid-Missouri Kansas abortion business facing 107 felony charges of violating state abortion laws, was delayed for two weeks because 23 Planned Parenthood-specific state abortion reports have been discovered as destroyed.
Now, Operation Rescue has filed the first round of open records demands with the Kansas governor s office and with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) seeking public records that might reveal who was involved in shredding incriminating evidence against Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri in 2005.
There is no way that this was routine evidence destruction, as Planned Parenthood attorneys are so desperately trying to make us believe. This was a brazen act that was meant to destroy the evidence against, OR president Troy Newman told LifeNews today. The Anawim of Today

This week, while home in Louisiana, I visited a friend of mine who has been faithfully working in the pro-life movement for many years. She has dedicated her time and energy to educating the public, especially the young, about the evils of abortion and those who promote it. Even her own health issues haven't dimmed her determination and dedication to spread the Gospel of Life. During our visit, she shared with me the news of a twenty-one week pre-born baby boy found in a dumpster at an abortion mill in Texas. I was horrified as I viewed the pictures of this precious child, broken, dismembered and disposed of as if he were a piece of common trash.
Her eyes were filled with pain and great sadness as she shared the account of how he was found. My heart too was heavy, and I remained speechless. After a few moments of silent reflection, she looked at me and said, "What are we do about this dreadful disease plaguing our world?" Then she added, "What do you think they will do with you or me, when they can so easily discard an innocent, defenseless child?"
I remember leaving her home that afternoon thinking about her questions and the story of this little boy whose life was snuffed out because he was unwanted, undesirable. I remember thinking about his grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. They would not know him, or even know that he even existed.
The image of his torn body stuck in my mind throughout the evening. That night while I sat before the Blessed Sacrament, I thought of the reading from Exodus 22:20-26 which speaks about the widow and the orphan, and my God-given obligation toward them.This precious, innocent child, a gift of God, was murdered and discarded by his mother and father who were supposed to protect him, love him and shelter him. He depended upon them, but they abandoned him. Not only did his parents abandon him, but society did as well.
There are so many who increasingly face the rejection of love - the elderly, the seriously disabled, those struggling with mental problems, the poor, the victims of aggression and war, the dying, the sick: these are the anawim of today - those who seek God for deliverance.
"You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:40). If we only would see each other as neighbor, as a fellow sojourner, as one created by the same benevolent God, the world would be a very different place. No, I am not a dreamer. Whether the battle for Life is fought in the Philippines, Asia, Africa, Mexico, America, Canada, South America, Ireland, Spain, Russia, Italy, China, India, Australia or any other land, the solution remains the same. The promoters of the culture of death have gained footing because we have forgotten the core message of Jesus. We have forgotten the two commandments on which the law and prophets depend.
Our work in the defense of Life and the dignity of the person must continue on every front until we shatter the stronghold of death. We accomplish this task by reflecting the truth, the light and the love of God to every person we meet. We must again reclaim our responsibility for each other and not forget we are neighbor to each other. We must uphold the precious wonder of every life, assist those in need, feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, cloth the naked, welcome the stranger and care for the dying. Blessed Mother Teresa once said:
When a poor person dies of hunger it has not happened because God did not take care of him or her. It has happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed.
Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.
Blessed Teresa understood fully the illness and the remedy. Her solution was to embrace the beauty of humanity and remind the world of that beauty. She was unafraid and undaunted in her mission. I am grateful to my friend and the many like her who every day defend the dignity of Life and witness the transforming power of love. I am grateful to every person who willingly and lovingly cares for the sick and elderly, the poor and marginalized, to the husband and wife who are faithful to each other unto death, to the children who care for their elderly parents, to the parents who tend to their children with special needs, to those who every day work among the poorest of the world, to those who stand in solidarity with the forgotten and defenseless, to those who boldly sacrifice all for the life of their brothers and sisters.
The transformation of the world and the building up of a culture of life begins with people such as these. I close with the words of Archbishop Charles Chaput as he encourages those who work for the protection of Life:
Nothing we do to defend the human person, no matter how small, is ever unfruitful or forgotten. Our actions touch other lives and move other hearts in ways we can never fully understand in this world. Don't ever underestimate the beauty and power of the witness you give in your pro-life work. DAY 31: The abortionist's wife

We must trust, we must pray -- and we must know
that our witness on the sidewalk is always part of
a larger picture. Here's a story that shows what I mean. I'm not
revealing names and locations, and I've changed some
details. This is still a work in progress!

THE ABORTIONIST'S WIFE
------------------------------------------------------- A vigil participant was noticing that nearly all the
cars in the abortion center parking lot were parked in
the staff area -- very few were in the area reserved
for those with appointments. And that was good. The volunteer was soon deep in prayer when the
abortionist drove up -- with his wife and their
teenager. He got out of the car and headed toward
the building while the wife and teen drove away. The abortionist's wife pulled up next to the vigil
participant, rolled down her window and asked, "How
are you doing?" The surprised volunteer answered,
"Good! How about you?" She responded, "I just wanted to tell you that I so
appreciate what you do and how you are always so nice
and respectful." That simple response turned out to
be the opening line in a very lengthy conversation. The wife expressed her gratitude for the way the
40 Days for Life vigil is conducted. In another city,
there is a group outside the abortion center that
yells at her husband. Here, however, he's been told that the vigil
participants are praying for him. "He just can't
understand how you can be so against what he does
and yet so nice to him." She explained that her husband grew up in a home that
had no use for religion -- the concept is totally
foreign to him. The volunteer promised to pray that he
would be able to grasp -- and eventually embrace --
faith. The teen blurted out, "Please do!" "I asked the abortionist's wife to pray for me," said
the volunteer, "and she said she would." The wife said, "I'm really impressed that you believe
in something so strongly and passionately that you’re
willing to be here every week for years in every kind
of weather." "There is much to meditate upon from this conversation,"
said the 40 Days for Life volunteer. "It confirmed the
constant presence, the peaceful method, the prayerful
attitude. It helped give me a renewed sense of
dedication to continually trying to get people to
sign up so that we can have a constant presence on the
sidewalk. We never know who will see us and when they
will see us. "God gave me an awesome story in order to ask once
again for you to join us for 40 Days for Life. Please
keep praying for an end to abortion and for ALL those
involved. God is using us to help bring His children
to Him -- ALL of them!"

REFLECTION by Rev. J. Kirk van der Swaagh
----------------------------------------------------- Human beings -- God's tapestries. Psalm 139 is a psalm that reveals the enormity and
otherness of God. His divine attributes are on
display: omniscience (2-4), omnipresence (7-12),
loving-kindness (17-18), justice (19-20),
righteousness (23-24), and omnipotence. Yet, when it came to express this last attribute,
what example did the psalmist use -- God's creation
of mountains, seas, or far-flung galaxies? No, he
used none of these. To express the wonder of God's
unparalleled creative power the writer mentions the
fashioning of the human in the womb (14-16). The Hebrew word used to express God's forming of us
in the womb, raqam, is the same term for needlework
or embroidery. In other words, we are a tapestry that
displays God's artistic mastery. And, like the artist who knows his creation down to
the last detail, God intimately knows us. This
reality provokes the writer to awe and wonder. He
proclaims, "I am fearfully and wonderfully made." What is true for this psalmist is true for each human
being. Each is fashioned by God and known by him and
we can proclaim on behalf of each, "I am fearfully
and wonderfully made."

beauty of Your creation. Help us proclaim on behalf
of every one of our fellow human beings, "I am
