PRO-LIFE ELECTION PRESS RELEASE

Pro-Life Activists to Lead Demonstration at Democratic Presidential Debate in Philadelphia Tonight

PHILADELPHIA, April 16 /Christian Newswire/ --The Christian Defense Coalition will conduct a demonstration Wednesday, April 16, at 6:30 P.M. in front of The National Constitution Center located at 525 Arch Street, in Philadelphia.

The demonstration is part of a national campaign to expose the radical pro-abortion policies of both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton.

The Christian Defense Coalition, along with other pro- life organizations, will make abortion a key issue on the campaign trail and hope to educate evangelical and Catholic voters on how out of step both candidates are concerning abortion.

For example; both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton oppose a ban on partial-birth abortion, will force Christians to pay for abortions as part of their health care plan, will sign the Freedom of Choice Act which will expand and codify abortion, and Senator Obama recently said he did want his daughters "punished with a baby."

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, states, "Both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton support radical abortion policies that put them at odds with the American public. Over the past decade, Americans have steadily grown more and more uncomfortable with abortion and the unrestricted access to it. It is interesting that Senator Obama has made his whole campaign about 'change' and yet clings to abortion policies that are a thing of the past.

"Over the next several months leading to the fall elections, pro-life activists will publicly expose the radical pro-abortion policies of the democrat nominee across the nation. We will especially focus on evangelicals and Catholics who view abortion as the taking of an innocent life. We intend to make abortion and the direction of the Supreme Court a major campaign issue."
