Notre Dame's Fixation on Dissent 

 

A Catholic university, especially one as visible as Notre Dame, must pride itself on upholding the teachings and standards that all Catholics should follow. Our Mother's university is one that should be a beacon during dark and difficult times-drawing not only students, but other faithful Catholics, toward her. Notre Dame must be an example and a leader in everything done in her name. For, when a prominent Catholic university fails to be a witness to the Church's teachings, dissent and chaos are sure to follow. Record-breaking 15,000+ attend Canadian National March for Life

"Are you ready to party and defend life!" shouted the guitarist for the Gethsemane ministries band, to a loud roar of assent, kicking off the rally on Parliament Hill for the 14th annual Canadian National March for Life. The weather could not have been better for the massive pro-life event - clear, sunny skies, and warm, but with a cool breeze. By 12:30 this afternoon, the lawn in front of Canada's Parliament buildings was packed with an exuberant crowd, stretching from corner to corner.                         
Right-to-life proponents will continue vigil at new Planned Parenthood location

Nebraska Right to Life responded Friday to an announcement by Planned Parenthood of the Heartland that it will consolidate its two Lincoln clinics into a larger, comprehensive center, saying the plan was typical of its national business model. Julie Schmit-Albin, executive director, said that business model involves closing old facilities and consolidating into larger, mega centers, "ostensibly to provide more services."
