Planned Parenthood Video Attacks Romney s Pro-Life Views
Planned Parenthood is once again on the attack against presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. In a new ad, entitled Just Like Rick, Planned Parenthood calls Mitt Romney dangerous for women s health, noting the shared pro-life positions of Romney and former primary opponent Rick Santorum.

The ad also uses a clip from a recent interview in which Romney indicates as president he would cut federal funding to Planned Parenthood, the nation s largest abortion business.

Planned Parenthood s incessant attacks on Romney are understandable. In the past few days, a Gallup poll showed Romney up as much as five points over pro-abortion President Obama. A CBS/New York Times poll showed the race in a dead heat. Obama s poll numbers over Romney appear to have peaked in mid-February when Romney was in the midst of a contentious primary battle. With the Republican base now rallying to Romney s side, he currently holds the momentum over the president. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/19/planned-parenthood-video-attacks-romneys-pro-life-views/

Iowa House Votes to Stop Funding Abortion, Planned Parenthood
The Iowa state House has voted to stop paying for abortions with taxpayer dollars and stop sending family planning funds to agencies that do abortions, such as the Planned Parenthood abortion company.

While Planned Parenthood doesn t get funding for abortions, it receives $6 million in state tax dollars as reimbursement for providing birth control and family planning for women that can be obtained elsewhere without supporting an abortion business.

On a vote of 57 to 37, the Iowa House passed H-8489, submitted by Rep. Annette Sweeney. The amendment to the HHS Appropriation bill, SF 2336, was the latest version of what has been referred to as the Whole Women s Health Priority Amendment. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/19/iowa-house-votes-to-stop-funding-abortion-planned-parenthood/

First Planned Parenthood Gets Komen Grant After Funding Renewal
It didn t take long for a local Komen for the Cure affiliate to become the first to make a grant to a local Planned Parenthood abortion business following Komen s decision to renew funding for the controversial agency.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure s Austin Affiliate has announced that it would award more than $1.4 million in grants this year to local organizations, including Planned Parenthood, according to one local news report. Planned Parenthood of the Texas Capital Region will receive $45,000 even though Planned Parenthood does not perform mammograms and despite the fact that abortion increases a woman s risk of contracting breast cancer.

We must continue to do everything in our power to make sure our community has access to care and resources related to breast health and breast cancer, especially those that live in the margins with limited means, Komen Austin Affiliate Executive Director Christy Casey-Moore said in a press release. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/19/first-planned-parenthood-gets-komen-grant-after-funding-renewal/

Abortion Doc Runs Group Making Planned Parenthood Prayers
Pro-life advocates have long complained that Planned Parenthood, the country s largest abortion provider, worships at the altar of abortion, but did you know that the abortion industry actually prays for abortion?

Perversely reminiscent of 40 day pro-life prayer vigils, Planned Parenthood is promoting it s own 40 days of prayer, March 18th through April 27th, for abortion. This is not their usually disguised promotion of abortion as preventative care, family planning, or contraceptive services. No, they throw those typical euphemisms out and directly pray for abortion.

A prayer guide found on PlannedParenthood.org ,40 Days of Prayer Supporting Women Everywhere , encourages pro-abortion supporters to offer prayers of thanks for abortion providers and the sacred care they provide. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/19/abortion-doc-runs-group-making-planned-parenthood-prayers/

Private Practice Actress KaDee Strickland Promotes Abortion Biz
KaDee Strickland, currently known for her role as Charlotte King on the ABC drama Private Practice, is the latest Hollywood Celebrity to promote Planned Parenthood, the nation s biggest abortion business.

In a new interview with Glamour magazine, Stickland, who also appeared in the romantic comedy Fever Pitch and was a cast regular in the television show The Wedding Bells, was asked which political issue most fired her up. Strickland said so-called women s issues most convict her and cited how she is a former client of the abortion business, obtaining birth control from it in her younger years. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/19/private-practice-actress-kadee-strickland-promotes-abortion-biz/

Ireland Dáil Defeats Socialist s Bill to Legalize Abortion
The Irish Dáil has defeated a bill pro-life groups strongly opposed that would legalize some abortions and potentially imprison pro-life advocates who provide women with abortion alternatives counseling.

Clare Daly, Mick Wallace and other abortion supporters in the Dáil put forward the Medical Termination Bill but pro-life barrister Johanna Higgins helped pro-life organizations like the Life Institute, Youth Defence and the Pro-Life Campaign alert their members to its pro-abortion components.

Daly seeks to repeal the criminal law prohibiting abortion in relation to those abortions which fall within her Bill, Higgins explained. Given the wide-reaching provisions in her Bill, this would make the criminal law against abortion in the Republic a dead letter. This is a bold move, as even the Abortion Act in Britain only presents a defense to the criminal law, where as Daly seeks to obliterate the criminal legislation. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/19/ireland-dail-defeats-socialists-bill-to-legalize-abortion/

Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Has Stopped 11,000 Abortions
For the past five years, every dawn has brought additional evidence of the fact that Planned Parenthood and its allies in the abortion industry cannot be trusted to tell the truth about the one thing they should know well abortion. Just over five years ago, on April 18, 2007, the Supreme Court announced its opinion in Gonzales v. Carhart, holding that the federal Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act was constitutional. Since then, we have lived in a world where partial-birth abortions have been illegal in the United States under federal law (and now many state laws).http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/19/partial-birth-abortion-ban-has-stopped-11000-abortions/

Pushing Abortion Was Always a Main Goal of Obamacare
A pro-life attorney makes the case in a new opinion column that one of the main goals of the Obama administration s push for Obamacare was promoting abortion. Anna Franzonello of Americans United for Life makes the case that this is seen in the recent mandate the Obama administration put into place a mandate that requires religious employers to pay for drugs like ella, that clearly causes abortions, for their employees. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/04/19/pushing-abortion-was-always-a-main-goal-of-obamacare/
