During a speech and press conference today, pro-abortion Texas lawmaker Wendy Davis said she would consider running for governor. The abortion activist also pulled a page from Nancy Pelosi’s playbook by calling defending late-term abortions “sacred ground.”
“I’ll seek common ground – we all must – but sometimes you have to take a stand on sacred ground,” Davis said during her press conference — referring to her filibuster to stop a bill to ban abortions after five months. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Pro-life advocates flooded Twitter today with a campaign calling on public officials in Alabama to shut down an abortion clinic operating illegally.
Today, abortion clinic owner Diane Derzis faces a judge about the accusation she is illegally operating the New Woman All Women abortion clinic in Birmingham, shut down by the state of Alabama since 2012, but now operating illegally. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Wendy Davis stuck her foot in her mouth today in an interview with a reporter from the Weekly Standard following her press conference today, during which she called abortion “sacred ground” and said she is contemplating running for governor.
Prayers are answered and the time and manner in which they are, undoubtedly, are not always what we want or expect, as I talked about recently in the article about the closing of the abortion clinic where Abby Johnson worked.
I have lived with peace about my life and the reality that I may never hear from my birthmother, that I may never know if she knows that I love her and that I have forgiven her for the decision by those around her that was made to end my life through an abortion. I have continued to pray for God’s will to be done and trusted in His plans for us, but I’ll be honest. Deep down, I never believed that I would have any contact with my birthmother. And then the unexpected happened…http://www.lifenews.
Here we go again–Peter Singer pushing the Great Ape Project that seeks to give rights to apes. Now, the controversy is featured in The World.
From, “Should Apes Have Legal Rights:” It’s virtually impossible to prove whether apes are conscious, since neuroscientists still can’t agree on how to define consciousness, or how it arises in the human brain. But advocates for ape rights say the fundamental question is not scientific, but moral. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Today, pro-abortion activist state senator Wendy Davis (D-TX) will speak at the National Press Club. Prior to the event, Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the national pro-life group the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), pointed to recent polling showing that a majority of women support the legislation Davis became famous opposing.
Many pro-aborts strain to avoid the word “abortion” like the plague, substituting in euphemisms like “choice,” “women’s health,” “reproductive freedom,” “bodily autonomy,” “family planning,” etc. When your PR efforts operate on the premise that you shouldn’t use your product’s name, it might be time to rethink what you’re selling.
The Republican Party says it will not work with the networks and CNN to host 2016 presidential primary debates with its candidates if the television channels air a documentary movie promoting Hillary Clinton. The pro-abortion former Secretary of State is considered a top candidate for the Democratic nomination. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
I am Proudly Pro-Life – Without Exceptions
While I have only recently been able to admit, and proudly, that I am pro-life without exception, I think in my heart I have always felt this way. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
I gasped the first time I saw her photo. Limbs splayed out across a metal crib, the little girl’s ribs nearly poked out of her chest. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
Banning Late-Term Abortions A Great Way to Unite the Republican Party
In a poll done by Gallup earlier this year, the biggest complaint lodged against the Republican Party was “inability to compromise.”. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
A recurring image in stories about Detroit’s bankruptcy is darkness, loss of light: 40 percent of the city’s streetlights do not work. It’s a terribly magnificent metaphor for the loss of life the city has seen. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/

Despite signals earlier this year that the State of North Carolina would once again not include planned compensation for the victims of the state’s infamous eugenics programs in the state’s budget, it seems that those who suffered forcible or coerced sterilization at the hands of the state will see some restitution after all as North Carolina is set to become the first state to provide compensation to victims of a government eugenics program. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/
