Who saved George's life in Sudan?

Dear John,
Compassionate friends like you are the difference to thousands of sick children worldwide. And I can’t think of a more powerful way to show you than to share these before and after photos of three-year-old George in Sudan.

George was very sick, covered with painful, peeling skin from a combination of TB and severe malnutrition. When his mother brought him to our partner mission hospital in the Nuba Mountains, she thought her son was going to die. This distraught mother was desperate to see our long-time volunteer, Dr. Tom Catena at the Mother of Mercy Hospital. Dr. Tom wrote:
Together with compassionate people like you, we saved George’s life, but there are so many more mothers and children who need your help. Your gift—of $50, $75, $100 or any amount— means the gift of health, with access to medicine, equipment, and quality care. I don’t believe any child should die from a preventable illness. Do you?

Children like George fuel our mission to serve. And we’re inspired to do even more by volunteers like Dr. Tom. Please donate now. With the support of generous friends like you, we can reach thousands more with treatment, wherever they are.
