WASHINGTON, July 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- Pro-Life leaders united to confront the National Education Association leadership's pro-abortion resolutions, policies, and activism at two press conferences sponsored by Pro- Life Educators And Students during the NEA convention in Washington, DC. NEA's record of endorsing pro-abortion Democrats continued. Of NEA's 9,105 delegates: 8,578 voted; 527 abstained. 6,841 or 79.8% of those voting chose Obama: the lowest percentage in recent history. Kerry received 86.5%; Gore 89.5%; Clinton 91.5% (1996) and 88.2% (1992).

Former Abortion Patients Repent

EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada, July 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is an open letter to: The Deputy Secretary, The Chancellery, The Advisory Council, Governor General Michaelle Jean, Prime Minister Stephen Harper and fellow Canadians;

FORMER ABORTION PATIENTS denounce MORGENTALER's award; asking for the termination of the Order of Canada based on his conduct on taking the lives of over 100,000 pre-born Canadians as reported by him.

The Morgentaler abortion industry is not doing the majority of women, or Canadians a favor by exterminating their preborn children, future teachers, nurses, doctors, technicians, police officers, military personnel, firemen, tradesmen, musicians and retail workers etc. Therefore he should not receive the Order of Canada for such an atrocity.

Catholic Columnist Deal Husdon: Vote Against Barack Obama Over Abortion

OBAMA RESPONDS TO INFANTICIDE CHARGE

 Reports have surfaced today by Deal Hudson and Jill Stanek that Sen. Barack Obama is dodging the issue of his support for selective infanticide. They refer to an interview that Obama granted last week to Cameron Strang of Relevant magazine.

 In that exchange, Obama admitted that when he was in the Illinois senate he voted against a bill that would require health care for a baby who survived an abortion. "The reason was that there was already a law in place in Illinois that said that you always have to supply life-saving treatment to any infant under any circumstances, and this bill actually was designed to overturn Roe v. Wade, so I didn't think it was going to pass constitutional muster."

 Catholic League president Bill Donohue weighed in on this issue today:

 "Is there a single bill forbidding racial discrimination that Obama would refuse to endorse on the grounds that we already have enough such laws in place? This begs the question: If protecting innocent human life is of paramount importance, then by what reasoning can it logically or morally be said that we already have enough legislation? When in doubt, wouldn't it make sense to vote in favor of stronger laws?

 "Obama's position that the bill he voted against would overturn Roe is not a grey area. It explicitly said just the opposite.

 "Finally, if the best Obama can do when faced with accusations of supporting selective infanticide—and that is exactly what the Catholic League is charging—is to say that this is not a 'fair characterization,' then something really smells. Given the seriousness of the accusation, if it were totally bogus, any other candidate for the presidency would immediately hold a press conference and demand an apology and a retraction. That Obama did not do so speaks volumes."

Pro-Life Groups to Protest Against Black Genocide at NAACP Convention July 14

Senator Barack Obama Wants You to Pay for Abortions

WASHINGTON, July 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christian group launches new effort in their campaign to educate American voters on the radical and extremist abortion policies of Senator Obama.

The campaign called, "Barack Obama: The Abortion President," will focus on how Mr. Obama wants taxpayers to pay for abortions.

The Christian Defense Coalition will have a news conference on Tuesday, July 8, at 11:00 A.M. to discuss this new campaign. They will also have large color posters and fliers.

The location of the news conference will be in front of Mr. Obama's senate office in the Hart Senate Office building on the Constitution Ave. NE entrance side.

A major part of the news conference will center on the fact that Senator Obama wants people of faith, Catholics and Evangelicals, to pay for abortions through their tax dollars.

The Chicago Tribune reported last year, when Senator Obama was "asked about his proposal for expanded access to health insurance, Obama said it would cover 'reproductive health services.' Contacted afterward, an Obama spokesperson said that included 'abortions.'

Although in recent days Senator Obama has tried to downplay his extremist views on abortion, his own Presidential website says, "...he has been a consistent champion of reproductive choice and will make preserving women's rights under Roe v. Wade a priority as President."

Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, states, "Senator Obama talks about bringing hope, faith and change to American politics. We now see this is all just political 'doublespeak.' One of his top priorities as President would be protecting abortion rights and even expanding them.
