Pro-Life Groups to Protest Against Black Genocide at NAACP Convention July 14

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 9 /Christian Newswire/ -- Abortion kills 1,452 black infants every day in this country. Sadly, the black community and its leaders are largely ignoring the slaughter. On July 14, 2008, LEARN (BlackGenocide.org) with assistance from CBR Midwest will confront the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) at its annual national convention in Cincinnati, OH, about its unwillingness to substantively address abortion.

Historically, the NAACP has failed to address the concerns of many of its delegates about abortion. In 2004, the NAACP issued a resolution voicing support for "equal access to abortion" and urged its members to participate in a pro-abortion rally in Washington, DC. In 2007, the NAACP, for the second time in four years, blocked a proposed resolution expressing opposition to abortion. The good news is the NAACP's Macon chapter is once again poised to present another pro-life resolution at this year's Cincinnati conference and we will be there to support them.

Protest Against Black Genocide

Who: LEARN (BlackGenocide.org) with assistance from CBR Midwest, and other groups
What: Huge Handheld Signs, and "Choice" pro-life trucks we will expose delegates to the reality of black genocide.
Where: Public sidewalks in the vicinity of and around the Duke Energy Center
When: July 14, 2008 from 9:00 am-2:00 PM

LEARN Statement:

"By utilizing CBR's pro-life signs, and 'Choice' billboard trucks we will teach the delegates of the reality of black genocide. By displaying actual abortion images at this year's convention we hope to show the need for the NAACP to allow discussion at the convention the detrimental health ramifications of abortion. The physical and psychological maladies caused by abortion are deliberately hidden from unsuspecting women." -- Rev. Clenard H. Childress, Jr., Founder, BlackGenocide.org

Georgia Right to Life Oratory Contestant Wins National Contest

MEDIA ADVISORY, July 8 /Christian Newswire/ -- Blake Adams, a high school senior from Powder Springs, GA won the National Right to Life oratory competition that took place on Saturday, July 5th, 2008 in Washington, D.C. Blake received a $1000 prize for his winning speech. To get to the finals in Washington, he had to win his district competition in Cobb County, the Georgia state competition and the preliminaries at the National convention on Saturday morning. Saturday evening, Adams delivered his speech flawlessly at the National Right to Life Convention (NTLC) banquet where he received the first place plaque from NRLC President, Wanda Franz.

Daniel Becker, President of Georgia Right to Life, gratefully explained, "Blake has done an exceptional job of humbly establishing how vital the truth of personhood is in a society which has tried to change the meaning."

Adams comes from a home schooled family of 11 children, where he has learned this vital truth: that the sanctity of life is paramount and establishing personhood for all regardless of size, race or level of development. Adams told Bethany Burrell, GRTL Education Director, "I am grateful to Georgia Right to Life and the NRLC for their encouragement, support and prayers. They have given me the privilege of honoring and glorifying God by speaking the truth for those who cannot speak themselves." Adams' speech will be posted on the GRTL website: www.grtl.org.

Twenty-two states held regional and state contests. Contestants were to research, write and present an original, 5-7 minute, pro-life speech on abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, or stem cell research. At all levels of the competition, they were judged on content and delivery. The Oratory Contest is an annual, spring event that is open to all junior and senior high school students.

Unborn Baby at 8 Weeks Lobster

First published December 15th, 2006.

TOLERANT, Humane, Equal. This is the new Trinity of the modern world, the image in which we have recreated ourselves. As such in this new world order, animals have been given the same rights as humans… if not more.

Recently:

The CrustaStun, billed as a more humane way to kill lobsters, was originally launched with a home and restaurant version in 1999 by British inventor Simon Buckhaven. Buckhaven says the shock makes lobsters insensible for pain-free boiling… "There were pressures on them from upscale dining room and grocery chains in the U.K. and London to humanely process seafood." —CBC News, December 14th, 2006

ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL

Nothing wrong with treating animals more humanely. But if we are to be Tolerant, Humane, and Equal, then shouldn’t all animals be treated the same way?

The unborn baby is not recognized as a human—in some countries such as Canada, up to the moment before birth begins (at which point Tinkerbell enters the womb and waves her wand, magically bestowing humanhood). But we know these unborn "fetuses" are alive. So at the very least, should they should not be treated with the same accord as animals? It seems that pain is the pivotal issue here… that issue which tugs so profoundly at the sensitive modern heart.

HUMANE PAIN

If we demand that lobsters feel little to no pain while killing them, shouldn’t this also be the case when we kill the unborn? But do the unborn feel any pain at all?

Medical facts we know today of fetal development:

  • 21 days: heart begins beating.
  • 4 or 5 weeks: pain receptors appear around the mouth.
  • 7 weeks: Lip tactile response may be evoked in a fetus.
  • 11 weeks: the face and all parts of the upper and lower extremities are sensitive to touch.
  • 13 to 14 weeks, the entire body surface, except for the back and the top of the head, are sensitive to pain.
  • 18 weeks: stress hormones are released by an unborn child injected by a needle, just as they are when adults feel pain.
  • 20 weeks: the fetal brain has the full complement of brain cells present in adulthood, ready and waiting to receive pain signals from the body.
  • 20-30 weeks: an unborn child has more pain receptors per square inch than at any other time, before or after birth, with only a very thin layer of skin for protection.
  • 30-32 weeks: mechanisms that inhibit or moderate the experience of pain do not begin to develop until weeks 30-32. Any pain the unborn child experiences before these mechanisms form is likely worse than the pain an older child or adult experiences.

THE HARD TRUTH

In a livestock slaughterhouse, a method of slaughter is deemed legally humane in the U.S. only if…

…all animals are rendered insensible to pain by a single blow or gunshot or an electrical, chemical, or other means that is rapid and effective before being shackled, hoisted, thrown, cast, or cut. —Section 2 of the Humane Slaughter Act, 7 USC 1902

By contrast, D&E abortions (Dilation and Evacuation) performed as late as 24 weeks—well after the child begins to feel pain—involve the dismemberment of the unborn child by a pair of sharp metal forceps. See here for an illustration. Also, view the video Silent Scream to see an actual D&E procedure and the 12 week old baby’s response on ultrasound.

Instillation methods of abortion (performed even after 30-32 weeks) involve the replacement of up to one cup of amniotic fluid with a concentrated salt solution. The unborn child inhales the solution as the salt burns the baby’s skin. The child lives in this condition for up to an hour. See the results of such an abortion here.

In neither of these techniques is the unborn child provided with any form of anesthesia.*

An unborn child at 20 weeks gestation “is fully capable of experiencing pain… Without question, [abortion] is a dreadfully painful experience for any infant subjected to such a surgical procedure." —Robert J. White, MD., Ph.D. professor of neurosurgery, Case Western Reserve University

46 million abortions are performed worldwide each year. —The Center for Bio-Ethical Reform

* Note: For those who haven’t read the other Hard Truths, it should be understood that I believe the personhood and dignity of the unborn child must be respected from conception until natural death. Anesthesia is not an option to make the pain of our conscience go away. Ending abortion is the only option. It is coming… whether we end it, or God ends it, the end of it is coming.

FROM MARK MALLETT:

The Hard Truth

Unborn Baby at Eleven Weeks

WHEN U.S. pro-life activist Gregg Cunningham presented graphic photos of aborted babies at some Canadian high schools a few years back, abortion "champion" Henry Morgentaler was quick to denounce the presentation as "propaganda that is completely repulsive."

As a member of the media then, I simply could not swallow Morgentaler’s statement. After all, this is the generation that drops $40-$60 bucks on gorey, violent video games; that pays $12 to watch actor Anthony Hopkins eat someone’s brains on the silver screen; that pays $15 bucks to listen to rap stars fantasize the rape of women and murder of cops; or wastes hours watching extreme "reality TV".

Not to mention, the media has gone to great lengths to expose the horror of genocide such as in Nazi Germany, Rwanda, or Bosnia-Hercegovina by capturing painful and graphic images of some of the last centuries’ worst evils. Rightly so.

But while media have risked their lives for these images, they have turned their backs on the painful and graphic photos which reveal mutilated, dismembered, chemically burned babies (view them here or here). The pictures show they are not just blobs of cells. They are babies, with eyes, hands, toes, hair and nerves.

The pictures tell the truth, as does the biological evidence, or the testimony of nurses who admit "we are aborting babies at five months on one floor of the hospital, while fighting to save five-month-old babies on the next." Even some of America’s most prominent pro-choice feminists such as Naomi Wolf now admit that the unborn baby is a person, but maintain women still have the right to destroy it!

The pictures reveal that modern civilization has allowed the destruction of millions of babies in our midst. It is easy to show in our newspapers and newscasts the horrible things citizens or soldiers in far away places do to each other. But our bravest journalists in search of the facts are in denial, refusing to do the unpopular: confront the truth of abortion. It may cost a job. Certainly, it will reap persecution from fellow workers. So, it’s more convenient to simply ride the populist wave, overlooking the truth in the name of "rights". And at what expense? Over 46 million babies destroyed each year—126, 000 people each day, world-wide.

The pictures tell the truth. But the media is mute. The cameras aren’t clicking. The mics are silent. Nobody is willing to tell the story.

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion business, made it official on Monday and issued its presidential endorsement for Barack Obama. The group rewarded the senator for his speech last year, where he pledged to only appoint abortion advocates to the Supreme Court.

"The Planned Parenthood Action Fund is proud to endorse Barack Obama for president of the United States," president Cecile Richards said in a press release LifeNews.com obtained.

Richards called him a "passionate advocate" with a "a long and consistent record of standing up for" unlimited abortions.

CoG for Life Asks Medical Profession & Pro-Life Families: 'Just Say no to New Aborted Fetal Vaccine'

TENNESSEE, July 7 /Christian Newswire/ -- Children of God for Life is calling on the Medical Profession to "just say no" to the newly US licensed aborted fetal vaccine, Pentacel, made by Sanofi Pasteur. On June 26th the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommended the vaccine be added to the immunization schedule for children, despite the fact that moral alternatives have been used in the US for years.

"We find it strange that the ACIP would recommend Pentacel in particular when children are already receiving untainted versions of these vaccines in their routine series of shots", said Debi Vinnedge, Executive Director for Children of God for Life.

Pentacel is a combination vaccine of Diptheria, Pertussis, Tetanus (DTaP) plus HiB and Polio. The polio portion of the vaccine uses aborted fetal cell line MRC-5, taken from the lung tissue of an electively aborted 14-week gestation baby.

"If a 5 in 1 vaccine is desired, why not recommend the ethical version, Pediarix, by Glaxo SmithKline?" Vinnedge wanted to know. "The only difference between the two is that Pediarix protects against Hepatitis-B instead of HiB. Doctors using Pediarix today give separate shots for HiB. With Pentacel they will still have to give separate shots for Hepatitis-B so its not like Pentacel is reducing the number of injections."

Vinnedge noted the push for Pentacel by the ACIP seems like a financial plug for Sanofi Pasteur, since sales of the vaccine may be lagging in both the US and Canada. Last year Canadian Physicians for Life successfully lobbied for access to Pediacel, a European version identical to Pentacel, except it does not use aborted fetal cell lines.

In May 2006, the Catholic Medical Association issued a formal statement noting that, "When alternative vaccines are available, they must be used in place of those produced by immoral means." Likewise, the Christian Medical and Dental Association have repeatedly called on the industry to stop using aborted fetal cell lines in vaccine production.

"It is our hope that physicians will simply continue purchasing the competing products they have used for years", Ms Vinnedge added. "The only way these drug companies will get the message is when their bottom line suffers and in the case of Pentacel, we certainly hope it will."
