Exploring Homeschooling Urges California Parents Not to Be Afraid to Homeschool

MEDIA ADVISORY, March 25 /Christian Newswire/ -- Exploring Homeschooling, a national homeschool recruitment group, is offering a free informational meeting for California parents entitled, "How to Start, Prosper and Protect Your Homeschool in California" to help dispel the fear generated by a recent California Court of Appeal ruling regarding home education.

This meeting will take place this Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 5 pm at Irvine Community Church in Irvine, CA and all California parents thinking about homeschooling or currently doing so are encouraged to attend. It will feature Rebecca Kocsis, Support Network Director for the Christian Home Educators Association of California.

Topics presented will include:

  • Why now is actually an excellent time to homeschool in the Golden State
  • How the current court ruling might affect your family and what you can do to protect yourself
  • Learn valuable tips every parent should know on how to start homeschooling, including how to file a private school affidavit
  • Gain insight from a homeschooling veteran on how to create a homeschool that will bless your children academically, socially and spiritually

"I know that there are many Christian parents in California who would homeschool, if only they had the right information to take the first steps in exploring this option. We are here to help them." said Mbuyi Khuzadi, Executive Director of Exploring Homeschooling.

Mbuyi and Mong-Tham Khuzadi started the group Exploring Homeschooling to help other Christian parents discover the joy of homeschooling their children in the admonition of the Lord. They are articulate advocates of stay-home motherhood and homeschooling and have experience with media interviews. Please contact them at:
