Three Fewer Abortion Employees:

Three Fewer Abortion Employees

At Sacramento Clinic

Editor: The following was sent out by 40 Days for Life in Sacramento.

This may be the most important email I've sent you. This morning I spoke with the Clinic Manager there at 53rd/F Street, where so many of you joined us for the fall 40 Days for Life. She gave me permission to share her story with you....

The clinic manager and two other clinic employees, whom we know very well, were laid off by the clinic owner on October 20th, during our 40 Days for Life, due to "dwindling finances" at the clinic. Their client numbers were dropping and their reimbursement rates for abortion were not meeting the cost of "providing the procedure", so budget cuts had to be made. As a result, three of their primary, most senior, veteran employees were laid off. I know we do not rejoice at unemployment, especially as the holidays approach, but I rejoice with all my heart that these three women are no longer working at this abortion clinic. I have offered them our assistance, if there is anything they need for their families, especially during this upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

For our dear friend and now FORMER abortion clinic manager, she is leaving at the end of this month to go and live with her mother in Germany, far away from this industry. Her mother is a strong, traditional, pro-life Catholic woman who is serving the needy in Germany and the clinic manager described their relationship as this: "we have just agreed to disagree with regards to abortion.”

Both mother and daughter will be serving our Lord together now, in the ministry of tending to the needs of our wounded American soldiers who are being treated in Germany. What an answer to a mother's prayers, to have her daughter leave the abortion industry, come and live with her, to serve the needy side-by-side! For the three employees who have been laid off, I would not say that conversions have taken place as yet, so please keep praying!

The clinic manager did tell me that only three employees remain at the 53rd/F Street clinic and that they are open for business, still "providing procedures", but that business is REALLY down.
