Planned Parenthood's shameful abuse of little children

A visit to the website of Planned Parenthood of Arizona reveals a shop of horrors of unimaginable proportions, with graphic books and videos targeting children as young as babies.

Intent on stealing the innocence of even the youngest children, the Planned Parenthood affiliate is pushing Bellybuttons are Navels, written by Mark Schoen, under the heading "Selected Books for Parents and Their Children."  This title is available in book and video format.

The reading level for the book is noted on Amazon.com as "baby to preschool." The opening words set the scene for the shocking scenario that follows:  "This is a story about a girl named Mary and her brother Robert.  One day while they were taking a bath ..."

Viewing the Amazon "Search Inside this Book" feature and clicking "Surprise Me" one finds a drawing of male and female toddlers in the bathtub together manipulating their mammaries, and another drawing of the two nude children with eyes cast downward and the words:  "I have a vulva; only girls have vulvas."

The book and video also seek to make tiny children proficient in identifying such body parts as the clitoris and testicles.

Bellybuttons are Navels boasts a preface by Mary Calderone, the former Planned Parenthood Medical Director who was the co-founder and first executive director of the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS). SIECUS was founded by the Kinsey Institute as its educational arm. Critics of the Kinsey Institute accuse its founder of pedophilia based on Kinsey's documented research involving sex between adults and children.

The author of Belllybuttons are Navels has produced projects for SIECUS, The Unitarian Church, and Planned Parenthood.

Last week we reported on Planned Parenthood cronies pushing sex education to preschoolers. STOPP's finding of this book and video on the Planned Parenthood of Arizona website confirms Planned Parenthood's partnership in the UNESCO/SIECUS agenda of sexualizing the youngest children.

It is untenable that our tax dollars pay for Planned Parenthood to promote such atrocities for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Planned Parenthood and SIECUS are very aggressively -- and unfortunately successfully -- pushing to incorporate their evil agenda across the curriculum in elementary and middle schools, in places such as Helena, Montana.

It is more important than ever that we act today to defund Planned Parenthood, and to get Planned Parenthood out of our communities and schools.  Our new STOPP website is devoted to all three pursuits.  Please take action today, for the sake of our children.

Planned Parenthood continues cornering the U.S. abortion market, while denying its quest

In Yakima, Washington, the "Feminist Women's Health Center" blames Planned Parenthood's expansion into its abortion territory for the center's imminent closure.   "There isn't the patient volume for two main providers," the killing center's co-founder Barbara Whipple said.  The center, which has been in operation since 1979, admitted to killing 1,000 to 1,200 preborn babies each year over the past 31 years.

Charlotte Taft, director of the Abortion Care Network, cited competition from Planned Parenthood as one of the reasons "independent" child killing centers are suffering financially.

Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho director Anna Franks said, however, that she is "sad to see the [killing center] close because it has helped so many women over the years."  She said that Planned Parenthood is not to blame for the closure "because only 3 to 4 percent of [its] services are clients seeking abortions."  She, of course, fails to mention that abortion accounts for over 40.6 percent of Planned Parenthood's clinic income.

But Whipple says she is "proud to have provided wellness and abortion services to more than 38,000 women in Yakima." By her own admission her failed organization committed between 31,000 and 37,200 abortions during its 31 years of operation.  Statistics show that one in every 2 abortions is a repeat abortion.  Keeping those facts in mind, it leaves little room for "wellness" services to be delivered to the 38,000 women the killing center claims to have seen over the years.

Since 1970, Planned Parenthood has killed almost 5 million preborn babies through surgical and medical abortion. Abortion is the end result for 96.5% of its maternity-related clients.

With its current share of the U.S. abortion market at 26.8 percent, (up from 8 percent in 1990), Planned Parenthood is utilizing its government funding to promote itself in local neighborhoods, pushing other abortionists out of town.  Yakima is a case in point.

Guttmacher Institute's statistics shine spotlight on Planned Parenthood's failed contraceptive programs while attempting to bolster them

The statistics touted by the Guttmacher Institute in support of its failed sex education and contraception programs shed a glaring spotlight on its own failures.

In a 2007 report on repeat abortion, Planned Parenthood's Guttmacher Institute points out that about half of all U.S. women having an abortion have had one previously.

It says that the young, poor and near-poor, black, Hispanic and unmarried are overrepresented among women having abortions.  Indeed, pro-lifers have long known that Planned Parenthood targets these groups.

While Planned Parenthood constantly bellyaches that contraceptives are not readily available to women and this is the reason for so much abortion, the 2007 paper on repeat abortion admits that 54 percent of women having abortions were using contraception during the month they became pregnant, and says only 11 percent of sexually active women are not contracepting, before laying the blame for ½ of all abortions on that 11 percent.  That means that the thirty-five percent who were apparently occasionally contracepting, but not during the month they became pregnant, account for no abortions - a preposterous representation.

In speaking of repeat abortions, the paper says that those women having repeat abortions were likely to be 30 years of age or older and using contraceptives when they became pregnant. "In fact," the report says, "women having a repeat abortion are slightly more likely to have been using a highly effective hormonal method (e.g., the pill or an injectable)."

Today, we see Planned Parenthood railing for free birth control for all women, paid for by the American taxpayer.  We see Planned Parenthood insisting that the more expensive methods, such as injectables, be included among the free birth control, so as to drive down the number of abortions.  What a contradiction!

A web of lies will eventually expose itself for what it is.  Planned Parenthood's lies become less and less convincing each time it adds another one to its infinite web in order to bolster its business.  The sooner the lies of Planned Parenthood are laid bare, the sooner the evil abortion mammoth will be defunded.

Please do your part by writing letters to the editor, speaking up at meetings where Planned Parenthood is seeking to enter or expand its presence in your community, and following the biblical instruction to shout the truth from the housetops.

Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary: Lawrenceville, GA

The St. Lawrence Respect Life Committee in Lawrenceville, GA, sends us this picture of the group Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary

Congratulations to John and Dianne Butler and all the pro-life advocates who joined the committee in invoking Our Lady's assistance in shutting down Planned Parenthood.

Mary, who is full of grace, has been granted extraordinary gifts from God.  She will crush the head of the serpent!  We must remain faithful in bringing Our Lady to Planned Parenthood and invoking her aid.

Please send us your pictures of Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary.

Forty Days for Life reports 781 babies lives saved by onsite prayer

The Fall 2010 40 Days for Life campaign ended Oct. 31, and the organization's website is now reporting 781 babies saved from abortion during the campaign, of which they are aware.

If that many babies were saved during a 40 day period, just imagine how many lives could be saved with a continual prayerful presence at every Planned Parenthood facility year round.

Pro-life advocates are standing in the gap at many Planned Parenthood facilities throughout the nation.  If we are to stop the abortion giant, we must be at every Planned Parenthood facility, fundraiser, and sex ed program. Wherever Planned Parenthood is, there we must be also, proclaiming the truth and offering hope where there is despair.

Please visit our website today to read more about our plan to Stop Planned Parenthood.  Then take up your battle gear -- your rosary and your picture of Our Lady -- and proceed to the nearest Planned Parenthood.  Thousands of lives depend on your "yes."
