Republican candidates spar over federal abortion ban in first 2024 primary debate
Abortion policy was one of the first topics posed to the Republican candidates who attended the first presidential primary debate Wednesday evening, sparking some tense exchanges over the role of the federal government on the issue.
Only Doug Burgum ruled out federal action to protect the preborn.
Shapiro Chooses Extremism in Defunding Family Support Centers
Over the last six months, members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly have been getting to know Gov. Josh Shapiro.
There was initially much to be hopeful about. At his inaugural address back in January, Gov. Shapiro laid out a vision for Pennsylvania, where “real freedom” can be achieved by making our Commonwealth a place “where everyone gets a shot and no one is left behind.”

Medical Journal Opposes Abortion Restrictions in the Name of Containing Health-Care Costs
The legalization of euthanasia and abortion means that some members of the medical profession have become more than willing to take human lives as opposed to saving them.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology supports radical access to abortion, including later in pregnancy. Its journal, Obstetrics and Gynecology, just published a study, funded by a Stanford Medical School institute, arguing that abortion limits post-Dobbs will stress health-care-system resources because more babies with a particular heart defect will be born

Brian Bird who is a lecturer at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, wrote an excellent article based on Kathrin Mentler (37), a Canadian who lives with chronic suicidal thoughts, recently offered (MAiD) euthanasia while she was seeking help during a mental health crisis:
Imagine if you were having suicidal thoughts and, fearing for your life, you went to a hospital seeking treatment. A clinician tells you that psychiatric healthcare is “broken” and plagued by delays. Later in the conversation, the clinician asks if you have ever considered assisted death.

On Wednesday night, GOP presidential candidates participated in their first debate, and abortion was one of the topics that was discussed at length. While each of the candidates reiterated their stances on abortion, they also pointed the finger at pro-abortion politicians, condemning policies that allow abortions to take place up until birth.
A series of so-called fact checks and retorts quickly followed, prompting the question: what really is the truth about late, or “late-term” abortions, or abortions until birth?
