Distraction.

Abortion supporters will do whatever it takes to keep people from thinking about what abortion is.

That's why Planned Parenthood spends so much time talking about race, immigration, "people with ovaries," and other distractions meant to keep you from thinking about what abortion does to a living baby.

A recently released study suggests the diversion is effective, as a large percentage of Americans don't know what abortion actually is.

Recently on The 40 Days for Life Podcast, we discussed how this new research provides pro-lifers with a BIG opportunity to reshape the abortion debate:

Forest Park, Georgia

The security guard of a business near the Forest Park abortion facility approached prayer warriors because she's worried about an abortion-vulnerable family member.

"She shared concerns for her niece, who is pregnant and has a newborn," Ellen explained. "In her misguided attempts to win the father's love, she had become pregnant."

But the expectant mother has had abortions in the past, and her aunt is afraid she might abort another child...so Ellen and Cheryl walked her over to the Pregnancy Aid Clinic.

A few days later, other vigil participants saw the same security guard out on the sidewalk cautioning women not to enter the abortion facility.

"If there was ever a person to spotlight, it is faithful Fred," wrote Marietta campaign co-leader Suzanne. "He comes early, stays late, covers empty slots, and is truly family."

Fred joined the campaign team when he saw vigil participants standing outside Planned Parenthood and asked to join the vigil.

While abortion supporters argue that men shouldn't have a say on the matter, Suzanne and her daughter/co-leader Rachel are a couple of women who are glad that men like Fred step up!

Warren, Ohio

Mary in the Buckeye State was delighted to see some new friends join her vigil.

"Very surprised to see four nuns of the Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate order, along with a new prayer warrior, at Planned Parenthood," Mary commented.

Mary added that the facility is down to just two business days a week.

"They are a referral center, but they still need to go!"

Then the boy's father cried out, "I do believe, help my unbelief!"

--Mark 9:24

Lord, we ask that you might grant every person struggling with doubts the reassurance that you are with them. We ask that you might work in the hearts of men and women who question your existence. We pray that more people will come to believe that you are the source of all strength and the summit of all hope. And we ask you to help us to trust that through your work in our lives, we can build up a culture that recognizes the dignity of every person. Amen.
