From 40 Days For Life: DAY 27: Curing morning sickness with abortion?

So far during this 40 Days for Life campaign, we’ve learned of 215 babies (that we know of) whose mothers turned around at the last minute and chose life!
In many cases, empowering a woman to keep her baby is a gradual process--and one that requires perseverance from on-site prayer warriors.
Cheri in Virginia Beach said one client visited the facility three times over a period of several days before agreeing to talk with a sidewalk counselor. She had come for an abortion due to extreme morning sickness that made it difficult for her to work.
Even for morning sickness, Planned Parenthood sees abortion as the answer!

But, upon talking with a sidewalk counselor, she visited a mobile pregnancy center, where she got an ultrasound and the medication she needs to control her illness.
"Please pray for her," Cheri said. "She does not have the family support about her decision to birth her child."

A homeless and visually impaired client ultimately rejected abortion, telling volunteers, "I am keeping my baby and not going back in there." The brave mom faces many challenges, but the Virginia Beach team has met with her to help her with her needs.
Finally, a third mother stopped to tell 40 Days for Life participants, "I just walked out of my appointment. I had a brief lapse of judgment. I have a son, and things are hard. But I can do this. I'm not aborting my child."

Poughkeepsie, New York

When a young couple arrived at Planned Parenthood in Poughkeepsie, it appeared that the man and woman were not on the same page.
While the man got out of the car and walked into the building, the woman hesitated, starting toward the facility, but ultimately reversing course and getting back in the car. The man returned to the car and spent ten minutes trying to talk her into keeping the appointment. Finally, the couple drove off.
"Let us pray that this couple will continue to choose life!" said Maureen, the local leader.

Ventura, California

"Good news," reported George in Ventura. "A mother chose life for her child this morning."
After arriving at Planned Parenthood, the mom saw 16 prayer warriors praying for her. With the help of Maria, the sidewalk counselor on duty, she visited a pregnancy help center and opted to keep her baby.
"Praise the Lord!" George said.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
— Philippians 2:5-8
O Lord, help us follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Let us humbly and diligently work to restore legal protection for the unborn, the disabled, the medically dependent and all innocent children of God whose lives are threatened. Let us remember the old adage that “He can never lead who has not first learned to obey.” And, Lord, grant us a peaceful heart as we labor in your name.
