From 40 Days For Life: DAY 6: "I can't do this!"

Nobody likes Mondays...except during a 40 Days for Life campaign.
That's because each Monday we'll share the updated number of babies saved from abortion at 40 Days for Life vigils around the world. Today, we know of 33 babies and mothers spared from abortion--praise God!
Tom in York, Pennsylvania reported that a couple with four children went into Planned Parenthood but changed their minds about abortion. "They just needed someone to tell them that they were in our prayers."
The dad told the vigil participants that one of their signs "sealed the deal." The sign depicted a baby and simply said, "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made --Psalms 1:39."
Earlier that day, vigil participants shared information with and promised to pray for a young woman, possibly a teen, as she walked into Planned Parenthood.
About a half hour later, she left Planned Parenthood crying and telling volunteers, "I can't do this!" The 40 Days for Life sidewalk counselor embraced the young mom and thanked God for her choosing life!

Roma, Mexico

A 40 Days for Life volunteer in Roma (Mexico City) saw a pair of women enter the Marie Stopes abortion facility. When those same women left Marie Stopes later that day, the volunteer told his prayer partners he believed one of them had gotten an abortion.
A few minutes later, one of the women reappeared and told the volunteer, “We saw you faithfully praying, and I told my friend that you were here praying for her. But she wanted to have that abortion. She went into the [abortion procedure] room. I started to pray for her as well, and she came out saying that she will keep her baby!"
The woman then exhorted the volunteers to keep up their good work. “Don’t give up! Your prayers are working! Because you're praying here I am going to see a little baby soon! Praise God!"

Cleveland, Ohio

John has led a dozen 40 Days for Life campaigns in Cleveland since 2012--while also playing a major role for the campaigns in nearby Bedford Heights and Painesville. He's seen an abortion facility close under his watch and has been blessed with numerous saved babies.
Still, John celebrates each life saved as though it was his first. One of his volunteers shared with him, "My daughter and I were ministering to a young mother who chose LIFE for her baby! My daughter rejoiced with her and gave the mother a bag of baby items, a homemade afghan, and a Bible. Praise the Lord!"

Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the well. Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
—Ecclesiastes 12:6-7
O God, we too often try to live in ways that ignore our coming death. We forget that our days are numbered by You, that at the end of our days your judgment awaits, that You are the Lord of our destiny. Help us to repent daily, and then to live each day in joyful obedience. Lead us to live in the light and promise of eternity. Prepare us to live fully and sacrificially.
