Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Poll: 59% of Americans Want All, Most Abortions Illegal
Yesterday s Gallup poll on abortion had most of the media focus on the fact that the number of Americans declaring themselves pro-choice had fallen to a record low. But the poll also offered more good news for the pro-life side most Americans want most abortions made illegal.

The Gallup survey indicated fifty-nine percent of Americans say abortion should be illegal in most or all circumstances. The poll found 39 percent said abortion should be legal only in a few circumstances and 20 percent said it should be illegal in all circumstances, for a total of 59 percent who want all or most abortions illegal.

By contrast, 25 percent said abortion should be legal in all circumstances and 13 percent said it should be legal in most circumstances. Majority Oppose Forcing Religious Groups to Fund Birth Control
A majority of Americans, in a new Rasmussen Reports national poll, oppose the Obama HHS mandate, which requires religious groups to pay for birth control and abortion-causing drugs for their employees.

Top Bishop: Obama Mandate Strangling the Catholic Church
A botched abortion patient can be heard moaning in obvious distress during newly-obtained recordings of two 911 calls placed on Saturday, March 31, 2012. The calls originated from Abortion and Contraceptive Clinic of Nebraska, run by LeRoy Carhart in Bellevue, a suburb of Omaha.

Aborted Child Born Alive, Left to Die; Obama Was Okay With That
In Vietnam, a family is distraught because their child was born alive, covered in blankets by the hospital, and left to die.

In a twisted scenario where one bad decision led to even worse results, the parents had been convinced to abort their child after seeing ultra-sounds that showed troubling birth defects. After the abortion, the child was placed in a bed under blankets until the family could return to recover the body. But upon returning and removing the blankets, family members saw the child and realized the ultrasounds had been wrong the child had been born healthy. Moreover, the child was still alive.

Last night I came across an interview with Mr. and Mrs. Ryman, parents of Byron and Lincoln Ryman, two sweet, relatively healthy identical twin boys. Their story is too precious not to share.

Mrs. Ryman s pregnancy was far from easy. After she finally got pregnant through in vitro fertilization, it was discovered that the babies were not growing at the same rate, due to twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.
