40 Days For Life: DAY 12: Do. Not. Stop.

40 Days for Life participants were surprised when Planned Parenthood closed off the main driveway at its new abortion megacenter in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Peaceful prayer warriors didn't have to wait long to find out what Planned Parenthood was up to. Shortly thereafter, instructions forbidding clients from stopping to talk with sidewalk counselors about abortion alternatives were painted on the driveway.

So much for "pro-choice!"

The driveway message reads, "DO NOT STOP."

40 Days for Life leader Brian Westbrook had the same message for his vigil participants: "Do not stop your prayers. Do not stop supporting women in need. Do not stop reaching out to every woman, every car. Do not stop standing up for life. Do not stop ENDING abortion."

Brian said Planned Parenthood's messaging proves the effectiveness of public prayer and witness. "Your sidewalk counselors are helping women leave. Your vigil is making an impact."

Bremerton, Washington

When an abortion center suddenly changes its hours of operation, it's a sure sign the 40 Days for Life vigil is impacting business.

"[Planned Parenthood] changed their hours, their abortion days, and they're even attempting to hide Waste Management and Stericycle's pick-up times," said Laurie, who leads the Bremerton campaign.

Laurie and her team have given Planned Parenthood one more thing to worry about. They acquired the house across the street from the abortion facility and are using it to help end abortion in their community.

Abortion supporters try--and fail--to match the commitment of pro-lifers.

Spokane leader Kathryn said that one of her volunteers makes an extended commute from Idaho to stand vigil in front of the fortress-like Planned Parenthood facility!

With dedication like that, no concrete barrier will be able to keep the love of Christ from reaching abortion clients in Eastern Washington.

My power is made perfect in weakness.

—2 Corinthians 12:9

Lord, during these forty days, we ask that with each day of this sacred vigil, everything in us that separates us from your perfect will would be pruned from our hearts and souls. In this blessed freedom may we experience a powerful anointing of your Holy Spirit.
