40 Days For Life: DAY 29: The feel-good story of the fall

For years, Ron and Howard prayed for Ava as she went to work at Planned Parenthood in Napa, California.

Now, Ron and Howard pray with Ava, one of 206 abortion workers to leave her job through a 40 Days for Life campaign.

Those prayers were answered in a powerful way this fall as the Napa campaign team acquired the property next door to Planned Parenthood and turned it into the Napa Women's Center!

In today's video blog, I share how Napa's 40 Days for Life campaign launched a new pregnancy help center, converted a former abortion worker, and continues to change hearts and save lives in one of the most abortion-friendly parts of the country:

Ron, Howard, and Ava had no idea how God would answer their prayers when they stepped out in faith to pray for an end to abortion.

Find out how God will respond to YOUR prayers by signing up to pray at your local 40 Days for Life vigil at:

Roanoke, Virginia

Rose was tempted to sleep in and skip her scheduled shift at the Roanoke 40 Days for Life vigil. She had been out praying the previous day--and hecklers cursed at her and wished her harm.

"I just felt like this isn't doing any good," Rose said. "I'm not one of the participants who sees people turn around and leave. I felt it makes no impact whether I'm there or not." Plus, it was raining.

But Rose battled through the temptation--and is glad she did!

A passerby saw her and joined the vigil. Shortly thereafter, another stopped by. "He said his wife went for an ultrasound and found no heartbeat," Rose reported. "At a second ultrasound appointment, the doctor tried to sedate her and give her a D&C without her consent."

The man insisted doctors do a second ultrasound--in which they found a heartbeat! His baby girl is now 22 years old.

Paraguay

Vigil participants in Paraguay noticed an expectant mother waiting to enter the hospital where abortions are performed.

Fearing her baby's life was in danger, the volunteers closed their eyes and entered into deep prayer for her. When they reopened their eyes, the woman was gone.

A person outside the hospital told the campaign team that the pregnant woman stopped, listened intently to the prayers, and left the hospital!

Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgressions of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us; and will subdue our iniquities.

Micah 7:18-19

Hear our prayer of repentance, Lord, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We praise you for your tender mercies and your compassion that never fails. Lord, it is only by Your grace that we can live lives that are just, and merciful.

May Your Holy Spirit enable us to walk humbly in Your presence and may You be pleased to restore our nation so that a generation not yet born may praise you.
