ATLANTA, Feb. 14, 2019 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Evangelist Alveda King:

"Motives matter. Some agendas are indeed driven by envy and rivalry, but others serve humanity with a desire to foster godly love and good will." (Ref. Philippians 1:15)

Today is Valentine's Day. Traditionally this observance is a day for cards, candy and romance. Yet in the midst of the hoopla, babies are still dying, and many human beings in the womb and outside the womb are still victims of crimes against humanity; with abortion at the top of the list.

Meanwhile, with his latest life affirming action today, on Valentine's Day, President Trump shines light and hope for babies in the womb, and for those who are unjustly bound in other tenuous situations.

With compassion and assurance, President Trump spoke to thousands of Americans from the Oval Office today: "Thank you very much and I want to thank all the 1,000s of pro-lifers and pro-life leaders, pastors, families and advocates for joining this call and for working with such love and devotion to build a culture that cherishes human life."

Does anyone know that POTUS is a big fan of adoption over abortion? Considering the huge fiascoes and lies about abortion being a reproductive right, with New York and Virginia endorsing infanticide, President Trump's adoption response today is yet another sanctity of life gain.

Meanwhile the prolife message is currently dominating the air waves. Gosnell, Unplanned, Roe V Wade, Order of Rights and The Moral Outcry are just five of the life affirming films of this century; they are either already released or in various stages of production. There are several others that have already made or are about to make a serious mark in the atmosphere.

Here's a short list of some other 21st century must see film firsts, including feature films and documentaries with a life affirming message:

Bella, A Distant Thunder, Maafa 21, Juno, Gimme' Shelter, October Baby, Crescendo, 180 and 3801 Lancaster. There are many more. They all need our prayers and support.

Dionne Warwick once sang a song: "What the World Needs Now is Love Sweet Love." How true and how sweet that truth was all those years ago, and still rings true today. Truth be told, love and justice are not blind; love is not color blind. We are the "one blood human race" of Acts 17:26. Agape, all-encompassing unconditional love never fails; for the born and unborn.

Jesus said it even better in John 13:34: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

Let's do something different today. Let's pray for America, and join President Trump in his compassion for the least of these exemplified in his speech today. Let's choose adoption as an option to abortion. Let's insist that our elected officials vote no on infanticide.

Let's show some real love in America for a change. Happy Valentine's Day.
