New Jersians Celebrate Christmas Season While Governor and Legislators Ponder Killing Children in the Manger
NEWS PROVIDED BY MONTCLAIR, N.J., Dec. 18, 2020 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Washington Examiner reported December 7 on New Jersey's proposed Reproduction Freedom Act stating, "A scant 15% of people surveyed want abortion permitted at any time during pregnancy, according to a 2020 Marist poll. Only seven countries in the world, including North Korea, China, and Vietnam, allow abortion after 20 weeks of an unborn baby's development. Yet the "Reproductive Freedom Act" asserts a right to abortion without any restriction related to gestation -- meaning that a baby, ready to be delivered, could instead be aborted at that moment. Fewer than one in five people support spending our tax dollars on abortions, the Marist poll found. "Killing babies is heinous enough, but to legislate killing children outside of the womb is incredulous -- Jesus, while in the manger, would be in danger in New Jersey!" stated Alex McCormick of Impact Church, Brown Mills, NJ. New Jersey's Pro-life organizations have joined to fight against this bill, late term abortions and all other attempts of the NJ legislators to expand abortion. This Saturday, December 19 at 10:00 a.m., this Pro-life coalition "Working Together for NJ" will gather at the offices of Senator Joe Cryan, Assemblywoman Annette Quijano and Assemblyman Jamel Holley, 985 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ. This gathering has two purposes: it is in protest to the culture of death and the Reproductive Freedom Act, as well as to "Celebrate The Child," remembering the most famous child, the baby Jesus. The coalition will be singing Christmas carols as well as giving testimony pertaining to the bill and the Christmas season. Post abortive advocate Teresa Martinez stated, "This bill is another way you show Hispanic people your motive is to diminish our community and target our people. Teresa Martinez leads Rama De Maria and broadcasts on Radio Immaculata. "This bill significantly burdens New Jersey taxpayers. It would mandate all abortions, including late-term abortions, to be paid for with taxpayer money. This underwriting of the abortion industry not only covers the abortion choices of New Jersey residents, but even non-residents from out of state who decide to travel here to have an abortion on the taxpayer's dime," said Shawn Hyland, Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey. "S3030 and A4848 are a human trafficker's best friend. Sex slaves get pregnant. Human traffickers have to pay for the abortions as a result. But this legislation will require all New Jersey taxpayers to pay for the abortions of sex trafficking victims. But it doesn't stop there - we will also pay for their forced sterilizations," said Rev. Gregory Quinlan, Center for Garden State Families. "Instead of providing real solutions to decrease the high rate of maternal and infant mortalities and health care disparities among certain populations in New Jersey, S3030/A4848 is perversely laser-focused on barbarically destroying the lives of infants, both before and after they are born. We ask all NJ citizens to contact their legislators and demand that they reject this disgraceful, inhumane infanticide bill," said Marie Tasy, Executive Director of New Jersey Right to Life. Pastor Brad Winship of Harbor Bible Church, Laurence Harbor, quoted from a sermon Martin Luther King gave on Christmas Eve 1967, "Now let me say that the next thing we must be concerned about if we are to have peace on earth and good will toward men is the nonviolent affirmation of the sacredness of all human life. Every man is somebody because he is a child of God. And so when we say 'Thou shalt not kill,' we're really saying that human life is too sacred to be taken on the battlefields of the world. Man is more than a tiny vagary of whirling electrons or a wisp of smoke from a limitless smoldering. Man is a child of God, made in His image, and therefore must be respected as such, and when we truly believe in the sacredness of human personality, we won't exploit people, we won't trample over people with the iron feet of oppression, we won't kill anybody.
