Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Recently two Philadelphia-area OB-GYNS penned an opinion piece extolling the safety of medication/chemical abortion which accounts for the majority of abortions both nationally and statewide. In an attempt to normalize an extremely unnatural procedure, they omitted information that every young woman and the general public should know.

This January marked the 50th year since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Roe and forced states to legalize the killing of unborn babies in abortions.

The Shapiro Administration

Democrat Josh Shapiro, who amassed a pro-abortion record as a member of the General Assembly and as Pennsylvania Attorney General, has become PA’s 48th Governor. The 49-year-old Shapiro has named Montgomery County Commissioner Val Arkoosh as his nominee to head the Department of Human Services. Arkoosh has launched failed bids for Congress and the U.S. Senate on a radically pro-abortion platform. While Shapiro has been endorsed by the abortion giant Planned Parenthood, he has also said that he supports current PA abortion law. Under PA’s Abortion Control Act, abortions cannot be performed past 24 weeks gestation. The law also requires parental consent, informed consent, a 24-hour-waiting period for abortion, and a ban on sex selection abortions. Bedford County Citizens Concerned for Human Life is sponsoring a showing of the highly acclaimed movie Lifemark at the Bedford Pitt Theatre on February 11 at 2 pm. Bedford County Citizens Concerned for Human Life will hold a pro-life dinner at Crossroads Bible Church on April 28. Christine Flowers, a syndicated columnist involved in the pro-life movement, is the featured speaker. Doors open at 5 pm for viewing of Basket Raffle and door prize, with dinner being served at 6 pm.
