40 Days For Life: DAY 2: 1st Baby Saved from Abortion!

 

 

We have our first report of a baby saved from abortion this 40 Days for Life campaign...and it comes from a place that desperately needed some good news! In 2022, Spain criminalized Sidewalk Outreach, meaning pro-lifers who try to talk women out of abortion could face up to a year in prison. Last week, the country passed a radical law that makes Spain one of the most pro-abortion countries in Europe. But legislation can't stop God. After a couple entered a Madrid abortion facility, the baby's grandmother approached vigil participants. "She asked for prayer...even though she is not a religious person," reported Nayeli, who has helped spread 40 Days for Life across Spain. Prayer warriors pleaded with God to save the woman's grandchild--and the couple decided to keep their baby! "We are excited," Nayeli continued. "Glory to God!"

The expectant mother left the abortion facility smiling and agreed to get an ultrasound. While the Spanish government desperately wants to silence pro-lifers, they're not going away...and neither is God. 40 Days for Life vigils across Spain confirmed 10 saved babies during last fall's campaign. And they're certainly off to a great start in 2023!

Overland Park, Kansas, and Granite City, Illinois A 14-year-old girl in Kansas wanted an abortion--against her parents' wishes. Kansas requires parental consent of a minor to get an abortion... ...so the mother of the girl's boyfriend made plans to drive her to Illinois to abort. Fortunately, the girl's mother found out about the plan and contacted 40 Days for Life teams in both Overland Park, Kansas, and Granite City, Illinois. 40 Days for Life participants reached out to an attorney who explained legal issues with the plan to transport the girl across state lines for an abortion. The intervention led the young teen to get an ultrasound from a pro-life pregnancy center and to choose life!

Milwaukee, Wisconsin Milwaukee 40 Days for Life 365 participants continue to save lives from abortion--even in a state where abortion has been illegal since Roe v. Wade was overturned! An expectant mother exiting Planned Parenthood exclaimed, "We are keeping our baby!" Longtime campaign co-leader Dan said the woman appeared relieved as she accepted pro-life literature and instructions on where to get a free ultrasound. "This is the fifth save this year at a...center in a state where abortion is illegal," Dan said. "Sidewalk counseling works. All the time. Thank you, Jesus."
