ABORTION: THE DEVIL'S MASTERPIECE

Abortion: The Devil's Masterpiece

A few weeks ago, I visited Leroy Carhart's partial birth abortion mill in Omaha, NE and beheld for a few uncomfortable moments a totally repulsive center of human wickedness. Just looking at the dilapidated former car repair garage turned into baby-killing factory and the squalor of the entire surrounding area, I could not help but notice that the evil of abortion degrades everything that it touches. Abortion is not only a social plague; it is also the spiritual negation of God's entire plan for man's happiness and eternal welfare. Whenever God says "Yes" to life and fertility the devil yells a resounding "No!"

Abortion's spiritual power is its perfect violation of all the commandments. First of all, most abortions are the result of sins against the sixth or ninth commandments (adultery/fornication/lust). Abortion is certainly a sin against the fifth commandment prohibiting murder. Likewise, it violates the third commandment because the vast majority of babies are killed on abortion's heaviest business days, Saturdays (the Sabbath). Abortion is also a reversal of the fourth commandment where father and mother "dishonor" the child in the most heinous way and, in doing so, curse the holiness of God (second commandment) which is manifested in the only creature made in His "image and likeness." As a false religion, abortion is a violation of the first commandment forbidding the worship of any other gods but the Lord, and this religion is undoubtedly fed through a highly sophisticated system of falsehoods and deceits (eighth commandment) which lead women into the abortion chambers.

Furthermore, abortion literally steals (seventh commandment) both our personal and national futures by depriving us of children! Anyone concerned about the present immigration issue should remember that the presence of more than 40 million Hispanic immigrants in this country tracks the destruction of 47 million of our own children by abortion since the Roe death decision. The saying, "nature abhors a vacuum" is as true in demographics as it is in physics. Finally, the tenth commandment (coveting our neighbor's goods) is about the capital sin of greed, the very thing that drives so many of the abortionists to do the killing work. Abortionists often claim to hate abortion, but they love the money behind it.

Abortion is like a huge spiritual vortex of sin pulling people into it, and even the Church can be compromised by this evil too. Most of the sins listed above are sins of commission, but the Church's sins are generally sins of omission, which abortion inspires - the terrible silence of the clergy on this topic, heretical "Catholic" politicians who are never disciplined by bishops, the easy justification of abortion by Catholic educators, the moral compromise by Catholic medical personnel on abortifacient contraception and sterilizations, etc. I am sure the devil just laughs and pats himself on the back when he sees the Church, that has the spiritual power to undo "all his work and all his empty promises," sitting back and pretending that abortion is a non-issue.

All of this is to point out that abortion is a spiritual power that negates God's plan for love, life and the family. It not only destroys bodies but destroys souls, which from the point of view of eternity, represents the devil's greatest masterpiece of evil.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

HILLARYCARE IS BACK! WE ARE IN TROUBLE FOLKS!

Anti-life "HillaryCare" Socialized Med Scheme Back as House Passes CHAMP Bill; Senate Follows Suit Today
Cuts funding for abstinence, covers abortifacient drugs, leaves Seniors with less options

By Peter J. Smith

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 2, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The advent of socialized health care and massive taxpayer abortion subsidies may take the United States by stealth, unless the new health care bill proposed by Democrats Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and Rep. John Dingle (D-MI) is vetoed by President Bush.

Today the US House of Representatives voted 225-204 for a massive expansion of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), a federal block grant for the states given by Congress designed ostensibly to give health insurance to children of poor working families. In practice, however, opponents of the funding argue, the program has become a backdoor into socialized medicine.

The Children's Health and Medicare Plan (CHAMP) or H.R. 3162, was proposed earlier this year by Sen. Clinton and Rep. Dingle, and would add $50 billion to SCHIP's $25 billion budget and morph it into a new entitlement program considerably more socialist, more anti-family and more anti-life than before.

The Clinton-Dingell plan as it exists in the House would cover households with incomes up to 400% above the poverty level, raising the current ceiling from 200%. The program, therefore, would cover 71% of all children in families of four making as much as $82,000.

However pro-life advocates are concerned about the anti-life legislation in CHAMP. The House bill removes Title V abstinence education funding, funds "family planning" services including abortifacient drugs, and guts the Unborn Child Rule, a regulation that allowed states to provide prenatal care to unborn children and their mothers under SCHIP.

"The new House bill's 'pregnant woman' rule seeks to deny the existence of the child in utero while still covering the adolescent mother," stated Tony Perkins of Family Research Council. "This is a calculated move to open the door to federal taxpayer-funded abortions."

Perkins said that funding of abortions would also be massively expanded in the 17 states that currently permit taxpayer funded abortion. Pro-life Sen. Wayne Allard (R-CO) has submitted an amendment to codify the "Unborn Child Rule" although its addition to the Senate bill today is unlikely.

National Right to Life Committee has observed that CHAMP also will force senior citizens on Medicare to drop out of all private fee-for-service plans by 2010, which it says could lead to "involuntary euthanasia" due to certain health care rationing.

"The economic reality is that in order to provide Medicare coverage for the baby boom generation as it retires without unrealistically massive tax increases, government payments per beneficiary will not be able to keep up with medical inflation," NRLC explained.

"If the funds available for health care for senior citizens from all sources are so limited, the only possible result will be rationing."

The Senate is expected to pass its "compromise" version of the Clinton-Dingell CHAMP bill today. The "compromise bill" only expands the coverage ceiling to just 300% of the poverty line and increases the SCHIP budget by $35 billion.

Democrats plan to pay for the new SCHIP scheme by raising federal tobacco taxes to 85 cents and hiking taxes on health insurance companies by $2 per person, which Republicans charge would outrageously drive up the cost of premiums, which are already a burden on working Americans.

"The real plan here is to set the stage for a movement of the next gigantic step in the direction of what should be called Hillary-care -- national socialized medicine," said Rep. Jerry Lewis, (R-CA).

Republicans have offered family-friendly alternatives to reform health insurance laws to give working class Americans tax relief to provide health insurance of their choice for themselves and their families. The "Every American Insured Act" sponsored by Obstetrician Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) is said to be able to provide "refundable, advanceable tax credits ($2000-individual/ $5,000 family) to everyone in America regardless of income or employer" in a "budget-neutral manner." President Bush also proposed a $15,000-per family tax deduction to help uninsured Americans buy health insurance on the open market, allowing rival insurers to compete to offer the best coverage at the best price.

However, Congressional Democrats seem intent on putting the United States one step further toward the same kind of unaccountable, universal, and rationed health care system that exists in Canada or in the United Kingdom.

In 1994, then First-lady, now Sen. Hillary Clinton's first foray into establishing socialized medicine - "HillaryCare" - incurred a huge public relations defeat for the Clinton administration, prompting the American electorate to sweep Republicans into control of Congress.

SCHIP must be reauthorized by September 30 or the program will expire. President Bush has vowed to veto any legislation that removes Americans options for private health insurance and increases SCHIP's budget by more than $30 billion.

NEWS ALERT FROM OPERATION RESCUE

Nation's Abortion Capital Is Currently Abortion Free

Tiller facing 19 years in jail; Christians will pray during criminal arraignment on Tuesday

Wichita, KS - August 2, 2007 - The nation's most notorious late-term abortion mill is currently turning away all patients. Women's Health Care Services, operated by abortionist George R. Tiller of Wichita, Kansas, is closed this week and will not accept appointments for next week, when Tiller is scheduled to be arraigned on 19 criminal counts of committing illegal abortions without obtaining the signature of a doctor who was not financially or legally affiliated with him. Women's Health Care Services is referring patients to abortionists in Kansas City and Oklahoma.

"We are rejoicing that for two straight weeks, Wichita, Kansas, the nation's abortion capital, will be abortion free for the first time since abortions began here. Even during the 1991 Summer of Mercy, Tiller was not closed that long," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "We pray that abortions will never resume."

Tiller's clinic was also was closed to abortion patients the first week in July. Last month over 500 people prayed for its closure during the Wichita Awakening event hosted by Operation Rescue. It is unclear when and if abortions will resume.

Operation Rescue moved its corporate office to Wichita in 2002, and has since relentlessly exposed wrongdoing at Tiller's mill.

"Because of public pressure brought by Operation Rescue, over a dozen clinic workers have quit their jobs with Tiller and dozens of companies will no long do business with him," said Newman. "We have exposed numerous botched abortions that have landed women in the hospital, uncovered an abortion death, and exposed his illegal business relationship with abortionist Kristin Neuhaus, for which he is now facing criminal charges. God has blessed our work and honored our prayers by giving us a respite from the killing."

Tiller was charged on June 28 with 19 counts of committing illegal abortions without obtaining the signature of a doctor who was financially or legally affiliated with him. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, August 7, 2007. Operation Rescue is encouraging Christians to gather outside the Sedgwick County Courthouse and pray during the arraignment time.

Prayer Vigil Information:

When: Tuesday, August 7, 2007, beginning at 9:00 AM
Where: Outside the Sedgwick County Courthouse at the corner of Central and Main.
Why: Pray for justice during Tiller's criminal arraignment, and a permanent end to Tiller's abortion business

"Prayer is especially important at this critical time," said Newman. "We cannot hope to see justice without the favor of our Righteous God."

NEWS ALERT FROM THE THOMAS MORE LAW CENTER:

Montgomery County Public Schools Say Yes to Anal Sex, Homosexuality, Bisexuality, and Transvestitism

ANN ARBOR, MI – A public school district's program promoting anal sex, homosexuality, bisexuality, and transvestitism as normal sexual variations was recently approved by the Maryland State Board of Education despite strenuous opposition from several pro-family groups. Montgomery County Public School's controversial sexuality curriculum for eighth and tenth grade students is the result of pressure by homosexual advocacy groups.

In response, the Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced today that it will assist the pro-family groups in their appeal of the Education Board's decision to the Montgomery County Circuit Court. The Law Center will be assisted by Maryland attorney John R. Garza who has been involved in the curriculum fight for several years.

The Thomas More Law Center and John Garza represent Citizens for a Responsible Curriculum, Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays, and the Family Leader Network.

According to Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Law Center, "I'm impressed with the principled and steadfast opposition by these pro-family groups to this outrageously hedonistic and life-threatening sexuality curriculum. The Law Center will do everything we can to assist them in their fight."

The pro-family groups oppose the sex program on several grounds: (1) it teaches students that homosexuality is "innate," which is an unproven theory; (2) it teaches students that anal sex is just another sexual option without warning students of the increased HIV/AIDS risk of anal sex, even with a condom; (3) it labels as "homophobic" children who hold traditional religious or moral beliefs about homosexuality; and (4) it teaches students that transgenderism is just another "sexual orientation," even though transgenderism has been classified as a mental disorder.

The Montgomery County Circuit Court may overturn the decision of the State Board of Education. The court may also stay the application of the sexuality curriculum while the appeal is pending. If the court affirms the decision of the State Board of Education, the case will be appealed to the Maryland Court of Appeals.

Edward L. White III, trial counsel with the Law Center, who is handling the case, commented: "This curriculum is full of factual inaccuracies and runs counter to sound educational policy. It should not be taught in the public school."

The Thomas More Law Center defends and promotes the religious freedom of Christians, time-honored family values, and the sanctity of human life through education, litigation, and related activities. It does not charge for its services. The Law Center is supported by contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations, and is recognized by the IRS as a section 501(c)(3) organization. Transplant surgeon faces criminal charges for allegedly hastening death of disabled man to harvest his organs

"Let's give him some more candy"

In what may be the first such prosecution of its kind anywhere in the US, a San Francisco doctor who specializes in organ transplants has been charged with prescribing lethal doses of narcotics and tranquilizers to a patient in order to hasten death so the patient's organs could be harvested.

The San Luis Obispo District Attorney filed felony charges on July 30 against Dr. Hootan Roozrokh, who is accused of abusing a dependent adult and using controlled substances without a legitimate medical reason. The criminal charges arose from the case of Ruben Navarro, a 25-year-old disabled man who died at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo on Feb. 4, about nine hours after being taken off a respirator and receiving massive doses of morphine and the tranquilizer Ativan.
