Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

| Planned Parenthood hypes sadomasachim as 'fun' to teens
Posted: 02 Jan 2013 10:49 AM PST Is there any perversion Planned Parenthood will not present to young, vulnerable people as “play”? Judging from the home page of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, apparently not. The “healthcare” organization features a video storehouse known as “A Naked Notion with Laci Green,” by sporting a picture of a young lady waving a condom. |

Papal Nuncio to attend Walk for Life West Coast: Pope’s American ambassador honors San Francisco march
Archbishop Carlo Maria ViganĂ², the papal nuncio to the United States, will honor the ninth annual Walk for Life West Coast on January 26, organizers have announced. The appointment of Archbishop ViganĂ² was announced on October 19, 2011, a date chosen by the archbishop, because it is the feast of the North American Martyrs.
“What an honor! We are so excited — this is the next best thing to having the Holy Father himself with us!” said Eva Muntean a co-founder of the walk.
The nuncio will join an expected 14 Catholic bishops at the Walk for Life West Coast, led by San Francisco’s new Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone — the largest number ever. Last year’s invocation was given by Father Aris Metrakos, the proto-presbyter of San Francisco’s Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In 2010 the invocation was given by Frank Lee, coordinator of Asian Americans Pro Life.
The Walk for Life appears to have been a thorn in the side of San Francisco’s pro-abortion political establishment since its beginnings. As Cal Catholic reported on December 12: “On December 11, 2012 the San Francisco board of supervisors voted 10-0 (with 1 supervisor absent) to declare January 26 to be a celebration of the Roe v. Wade decision, and expressing support for a “Celebration of Women, Life and Liberty” rally to be held at Justin Herman Plaza.” Cal Catholic further noted “Since the anniversary of Roe v. Wade is actually on January 22, and January 26 happens to be the date of the city’s Ninth Annual Walk for Life West Coast, the resolution seems targeted more at the Walk for Life than a commemoration of Roe v. Wade.”
The December 21 issue of Catholic San Francisco supplied more details. The archdiocesan paper reported: “Two city government agencies and Bay Area Coalition for Our Reproductive Rights are among the sponsors of the Trust Women/Silver Ribbon Campaign event, which will include a walk down Market Street, a petting zoo, food, face painting and balloon art at Justin Herman Plaza, according to the website oursilverribbon.org. The San Francisco Department of Public Health and Department on the Status of Women are sponsors, according to oursilverribbon.org.”
“An abortion rights rally at the same location last year drew about 80 people, based on reporting and video of the event,” the archdiocesan newspaper noted.
In addition to the Nuncio, speakers at the 2013 Walk for Life rally include Lacey Buchanan whose YouTube video about her blind son went viral and has touched over 11 million viewers; Elaine Riddick, a woman who was forcibly sterilized at age 14 under orders from North Carolina’s Eugenics Board, whose goal was to purify the state’s population by weeding out the mentally ill, diseased, feebleminded and others deemed undesirable; the Rev. Clenard Childress, the founder and director of www.BlackGenocide.org, a website designed to reach the African-American Community with the truth about abortion; and Kelly and Matthew Clinger, a post-abortive couple who share their story about the heartache and pain caused by life in the music industry, divorce, addiction, and abortion.
Actress and model Jennifer O’Neill, national spokeswoman for the Silent No More Post-Abortion Awareness Campaign, will also attend, joining the Silent No More program prior to the rally.
Founded in 2005 by a group of San Francisco Bay Area residents, the Walk for Life West Coast’s mission is to change the perceptions of a society that thinks abortion is an answer. Walk participants are expected from throughout the Bay Area and across the United States and Canada.

'Recall Abortion' Offers a Unique Look at America's Most Divisive Issue

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y., Jan. 2, 2013/Christian Newswire/ -- Americans are savvy consumers. When a product does not live up to its promise, we boycott, we sue and finally, we demand a government recall. Forty years ago, Americans were sold a new product: Legal abortion. We were assured that legal, accessible abortion on demand was needed to elevate the rights of women and improve the lives of children. We believed these lies and we lined up outside clinics to buy this product.
But abortion has exploited women, not empowered them. Abortion has allowed us to see children as commodities whose very existence depends on our whim. Abortion has killed more than 50 million unborn Americans and left millions of their mothers wounded, emotionally and physically. Isn't it to time recall abortion? Recall Abortion, the first book by longtime pro-life activist Janet Morana, examines the societal changes that led to legal abortion and the lies that ensure it continues to be one of the most common medical procedures for women. Through research, interviews with medical professionals and testimonies of women who have had abortions, Ms. Morana takes apart the myth that abortion is safe and necessary health-care and shows the abortion industry for what it is: A profit-driven, unscrupulous and often criminal enterprise that victimizes women. Catholic author and syndicated talk-show host Teresa Tomeo believes Recall Abortion "will put abortion right where it belongs, on a worldwide 'Hall of Shame' episode and the top of the recall list." Wendy Wright of the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (C-FAM) says the book "provides a compelling case against the primary selling points for abortion." The book will be available Jan. 22 from St. Benedict's Press and can be pre-ordered now for $20 per copy at www.priestsforlife.org/store/p-336-recall-abortion.aspx. In his foreword for Recall Abortion, Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, wrote: "If we start with a listening heart and a dose of good will, we can see a common question bridging the pro-life, pro-choice divide and uniting those who care about women. The question is: What does abortion do to those who undergo it? What kind of promises does it make, and does it deliver on those promises?" Those questions, which cut right to the heart of the abortion debate, are answered in Recall Abortion. Janet Morana is the executive director of Priests for Life, co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, and co-host of EWTN's "Defending Life" and "The Catholic View for Women." To arrange an interview, call Leslie Palma or Andre Kim at 347-286-7277 or send an email to media@priestsforlife.org. From A.L.L.: What Makes 2013 the Year for Cautious Optimism?
The new year is upon us and we have numerous reasons to be optimistic about the nation's future. In light of recent or current events, some may find this odd. But as today's commentary explains, there are many people who are working diligently toward making 2013 a better year-and the nation a better place.
As a new year approaches, we naturally reflect on the one past. While it's easy to get caught up in the negatives of the past year, we must identify and focus on the positive things that have happened as well. When we do this, we see that there are many reasons to look to this coming year with hope.
Mobilizing young people to take part in positive, pro-active efforts is pro-life America's task and we welcome it. Leading the way are powerful figures like Professor Michael New, Doctor Gerard Nadal, and others. As a result, today there are more young Americans struggling to focus attention on the preborn child and the vulnerable in our midst than ever before. More young adults are becoming well informed about the dire consequences of contraception, abortion, and the general decline in morality in America. This is good news.
There are inspiring speakers carrying messages of truth, forgiveness, and healing to a troubled nation that has been polluted by too many years of sexual self-gratification-a nation in which lives have been ruined or ended by contraception, abortion, and the growing tentacles of a decadent cultural elite. Speaking eloquently are Abby Johnson, Lila Rose, Patrick Reilly, and many other young people. We detect in the audiences they inspire a vigor that will lead to a conversion of hearts from one end of this nation to the other.
African Americans are turning the corner and beginning to recognize the familiar events that, to them, were unheard of and undetected. The works of individuals like Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King; Walter Hoye; Ryan and Bethany Bomberger; and others are raising awareness and teaching black America that the goals of organizations like Planned Parenthood are focused on making sure their preborn babies are killed before birth.
Christians are finding that their witness and persistence save lives and renew hope. This is, in no small measure, thanks to the efforts of the 40 Days for Life organization, which began as a seed of an idea in the mind of David Bereit. Thanks to Bereit's commitment to a vision that was given to him by the Lord, 40 Days for Life has grown exponentially over the past few years to an activity that throughout the land has saved babies, brought love to countless expectant mothers, and inspired citizens to come out of their homes and witness to the sanctity and dignity of the human person.
The foundations for these stellar activities and blessed people who have emerged over the years come from the same source that has helped build American Life League, Human Life International, Priests for Life, Pro-Life Action League, and so many other fine national organizations. That source is God and His infinite grace, for without Him nothing is possible. The seeds sown over the past 50 years would have died long ago if not for faith in the Almighty, His word, and His grace. The good news is that they have not died. Indeed, the seeds have grown into mighty oaks of love for life, providing the nurturing of a new generation of activities, organizations, and leaders that have emerged as America awakens from her slumber and recognizes what has been lost because of man's selfishness, discontent, and disregard for human dignity.
These are the top five reasons for such glorious hope as we enter 2013. The recipe for success is at hand:
Combine:
One generation of young enthusiasts
One helping of articulate speakers
One measure of self-sacrificing black leaders
One generous sprinkling of faithful public witness
One heaping cup of reliable guidance
Stir with the largest amount of total surrender to God's will possible and allow it to rise.
When the dough is ready, the nation will be on its knees, prepared to surrender to His truth and right the wrongs that once nearly destroyed America.
The first day of this anticipated miracle is the first day of 2013. That day is at hand.
We look forward to it with immense faith, hope, and joy.
