If not at Thanksgiving then when?

Greetings!

As we look forward to the Holiday week, we must remember that Thanksgiving is not just a time of turkey and family.  Historically, it has not been a time of blind, universal "thankfulness", but instead a truly Christian holiday founded on the principle that the Almighty God supplies the needs of his children.  As such, our thankfulness should have a recipient, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

Jesus Christ not only created life, but sustains it and offers it as a gift to humanity.  All of our lives, older, younger, born and unborn are of great value and should be cherished as a gift instead of tossed aside or ended on purpose.

Furthermore, when we take the lives of our unborn children and destroy them through abortion or mercilessly leave them to die after botched abortions, we not only destroy innocence living human beings but also hasten the decay of the moral foundations upon which our country has stood since its founding.  To deny this is to admit a lack of understanding of this country's foundations in Christianity.

I hope that each one of you has a personal relationship with God through the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I wish that all of you would accept the free gift of eternal life spoken of throughout the bible.  Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me."

I also hope that as we are giving thanks this season that we point our thanks in the direction of Him who deserves our thanks.  Please remember to be thankful for life, all life, born and unborn.

Lastly, while you are being thankful for the gift of life, pray for the preservation of the lives of millions of unborn babies that will lose their lives on purpose in the next few years alone.  The sanctity of human life fits squarely in the middle of Christian beliefs.

If you can't thank the Lord for life what will you thank him for?
If you don't pray for life what will you pray for?

Praise the Lord for his bountiful gifts and pray for his mercy on our land and our unborn children.   Pass it on.

Thank You,

Nate and Bev
