It's Christian to Kill!

Judie BrownThe travesty and sorrow that stems from the murder of preborn babies is something every Catholic should feel. To know that a child's life is snuffed out at the hands of a cruel abortionist is a sickening thought. What is even more sickening is that one of these cruel abortionists is employed by a Catholic hospital-a hospital that is protecting his job. Read today's commentary for more about this appalling story.

NATIONAL PRO-LIFE T-SHIRT WEEKEND! AUGUST 5 - 7, 2011
Blue Bar

The NPLTW photo contest is all about being put into situations that you would normally not be in while wearing a pro-life shirt. This gives people an opportunity to see your message and potentially ask you a question about what it means. This past April, we had over 6,000 photo submissions. It's now time for a quick photo hunt to see if you can find the 11 tasks that these clues lead to. Use the tasks and photos from the 2011 NPLTW photo contest. Your answers should be sent via Facebook to Thomas Mon. You can find a link to his profile on the official NPLTW Facebook page. Winners will be announced on Wednesday afternoon. Find as many as you can and send in your guesses. You should put your answers, one per line, in the following format: Clue (Task #). Good luck! The top three winners will get a pro-life shirt!

Clues: KooGa, Bones, SMHS 1, Parcheesi, Hong Kong, Special K, Hungry Man, Tot-lot Jedi, Guest Services, Low Price $168, Washington and Main.

Cardinal Burke: Suffering does not rid life of purpose

EWTN

At a Kansas City conference on end-of-life care, Cardinal Raymond Burke said that suffering does not cause a person to have less meaning in his life, nor does it give the government the right to decide if that person should live or die. "No matter how much a life is diminished, no matter what suffering the person is undergoing, that life demands the greatest respect and care," Cardinal Burke, prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, told CNA. "It's never right to snuff out a life because it's in some way under heavy burden."

Obama admin threatens second state for defunding Planned Parenthood

Life Site News
New Hampshire has become the second state after Indiana to receive a strongly-worded rebuke from Obama officials for cutting off Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood. A state health official told New Hampshire Public Radio Wednesday that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services had warned his office that New Hampshire's defunding effort may have broken federal rules by depriving state Medicaid recipients of a qualified provider.
Doc at Catholic hospital: "I perform abortions because I'm a Christian"

Life Site News

After a Catholic hospital in Colorado refused to remove a Planned Parenthood abortionist from its ob/gyn staff, pro-life advocates have organized a protest, featuring Live Action President Lila Rose, on Aug. 4. "The reason I perform abortions is because I'm a Christian," Richard Grossman, a Quaker, told the Durango Herald after a similar protest outside Mercy Regional Medical Center last year.  "Personally, I believe in the strength, intellect and fortitude of women. When a woman says a fetus is a person, I think it is one. I believe the woman empowers the fetus."
