PPNYC peddling sex to kids via comics

Planned Parenthood of New York City (PPNYC) has launched an online comic series to assist its efforts in marketing sex to kids.

The "moral" of the story in Episode 1 of Choices: A comic about the choices teens face every day is that a girl is not "ready" for sexual activity unless she is willing to tell a boy to use a condom.

The comic series is attributed to PPNYC's Teen Advocates, "highly trained peer educators from Brooklyn, the South Bronx, and the Lower East Side of Manhattan who use interactive presentations to educate young people about teens' rights and access to sexual and reproductive health care."

PPNYC Teen Advocates publish a booklet entitled "Taking Care of You" which stresses first and foremost that teens have "right to reproductive health care without permission from your parents or guardians," including abortion.  PPNYC commits both first and second trimester abortions, and uses the teens to fuel its abortion and sex business.

In addition to money and unlimited exposure to licentious materials, the underprivileged teens receive other perks from Planned Parenthood for their willingness to be indoctrinated with PP's filth and to pass it along to their peers.  For instance, in 2002 two ethnic minority "teen advocates" were taken to Great Britain where they "compared notes with their English peers on sex education, strategized with [a] public health minister , and sipped tea at the House of Lords."

Planned Parenthood will continue to get its hooks into our children and use them to further its evil agenda, unless local parents take up the fight and refuse to let the abortion profiteer continue its unprincipled, unbridled exploitation of our children. STOPP'swebsite contains proven strategies for getting and keeping Planned Parenthood out of your schools and community.  American Life League Vice President, Jim Sedlak, has been at the forefront of exposing Planned Parenthood's abuse of children and teens through its perverse sex indoctrination.  To book Jim or another expert speaker, please contact msedlak@all.org.

PPNYC partners with Big Brother/Big Sisters, other at-risk youth organizations

Planned Parenthood is relentless in its efforts to target disadvantaged and vulnerable youth. From the website of Planned Parenthood of New York City (PPNYC):

The Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention and Services (APPS) Program, supported by the New York State Department of Health, is an umbrella that encompasses a number of programs in the South Bronx that are addressing teen pregnancy. The APPS program links Planned Parenthood of New York City (PPNYC) with Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City, Federation Employment and Guidance Service (FEGS), and Morris Heights Health Center (MHHC) in a collaborative effort to close service gaps in the South Bronx. The programs sponsored by these agencies provide education, case management, referrals, and mentoring to at-risk, pregnant, and parenting adolescents up to the age of 21.

Planned Parenthood is no doubt involved in coalitions and community and state-wide programs in your locale that link it to legitimate youth-serving organizations. Tragically, when Planned Parenthood is involved in one of these pregnancy prevention coalitions, it is not only involved but is usually taking the leadership position. Because other community organizations are willing to participate with Planned Parenthood in these coalitions, Planned Parenthood reaps benefits from the goodwill those organizations have established in the community. Those organizations, in turn, become tarnished as a result of their association with Planned Parenthood.

One need only look at the high teen pregnancy rates that persist in areas where Planned Parenthood has maintained a presence for a number of years to see that Planned Parenthood is the problem, not the solution.

Check with local youth-oriented programs and coalitions today to see whether Planned Parenthood is a player. If so, call on coalition and community leaders and parents to begin contacting those coalitions and urge them to oust Planned Parenthood.

Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary: Saving souls

How many souls has Planned Parenthood stolen through its immoral sexual indoctrination of children and adolescents? Through enticing them into sexual activity and then selling them abortions?  Through teaching them that homosexuality and other disordered forms of sexual expression are normal and even preferable? Only God knows for sure, but here are a few shocking statistics from its own website:

Number of women, men, and adolescents worldwide provided with sexual and reproductive health care and education by Planned Parenthood each year: more than 5,000,000

  •  Number of these clients served by Planned Parenthood affiliate health centers in the U.S.: 3,000,000
  •  Number of these clients served by Planned Parenthood affiliate educational programs: nearly 1,200,000
  • Number of these clients served by PPFA-supported partners in 10 developing countries: 1,200,000

Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary is the cure for Planned Parenthood's thievery of souls.  This includes every place Planned Parenthood is engaged in stealing souls:  sex education conferences, schools, community organizations - wherever Planned Parenthood is, there pro-life advocates should be bearing the banner of Our Lady.

By bringing Our Lady to the very spot where so much evil breeds, festers and erupts, we are bringing the remedy to the very sin that enables Planned Parenthood.

Our prayers are multiplied exponentially when we bring Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary.  Demons flee, and when demons flee, the souls of many are saved.

Victories abound: PP loses $79.8 million due to state defunding efforts; set to close 23 facilities

Major efforts to take taxpayer money out of the hands of Planned Parenthood stalled at the federal level due to Democrat senators, many of whom received political endorsements and financial backing from Planned Parenthood during the election cycle. However, the battle to defund the abortion giant has rebounded at the state level, where an influx of new conservative, pro-life legislators and governors have enabled successful campaigns to cut $79.8 million in taxpayer funding from Planned Parenthood in recent months.

New Jersey
Governor Chris Christie led the way, eliminating by executive veto $7.5 million in Title X family planning funding from the New Jersey state budget in 2010 and again in 2011.  The money has been diverted to Federally Qualified Health Centers.  Planned Parenthood has tried and failed at least four times to reinstate the funding.  As a result of the loss of funding, Planned Parenthood announced the closure of its facility in Cherry Hills effective Sept. 23, 2010, and says it will close its Dover facility by the end of 2011.

Kansas
In March of 2011, Kansas stripped Planned Parenthood of $330,000 in Title X funds. The funds were deflected to local full service clinics, placing Planned Parenthood at the bottom of the priority list.  Kansas will also put $300,000 into a grant-matched fund for pregnancy maintenance and adoption counseling.

Indiana
In May of 2011, the Indiana legislature passed a bill banning the state from entering into contracts with, or granting funding to any entity that performs abortions or maintains or operates any facilities which perform abortions, effectively denying between $2 million and $3 million to Planned Parenthood.

The legislation was signed into law on April 27, 2011, and challenged immediately by Planned Parenthood.  The Justice Department has joined Planned Parenthood in a federal lawsuit to stop enforcement of the law.  Planned Parenthood announced that it will close its facilities in Bedford, Hammond, Michigan City, New Albany, Terre Haute, and two in Indianapolis if the law stands.

North Carolina
In June of 2011, the North Carolina general assembly passed a budget rider that will cut $434,000 in contracts and grants to Planned Parenthood, including federal Title X funds that pass through the state budget. Planned Parenthood officials said on July 12 that it may close its Durham Health Center on September 1, 2011, if it cannot get an injunction to stop the state from cutting off its funding.  Since the Durham center also gets a 10% discount on contraceptives as a Title X provider, the loss would amount to 49% of its budget.  Planned Parenthood sued the State of North Carolina on July 7, 2011, to reinstate the funding.

Wisconsin
In June of 2011, Wisconsin legislation was passed withholding $1 million in Title V and Medicaid funds from Planned Parenthood.  After failed attempts to raise enough local funds to keep all its facilities running, PP says it will have to cut "services" or staff in light of the cuts.

Tennessee
In May of 2011, the Tennessee legislature shifted the priority for Title X funds from Planned Parenthood to county health departments, resulting in an estimated $335,000 loss for the abortion profiteer.  Planned Parenthood officials say they will not close any facilities as a result.

New Hampshire
While Planned Parenthood had predicted all its previous losses of funding, PP officials were caught off guard when in July of 2011 the Executive Council, which oversees state contracts, declined to renew a $1.8 million state contract.  Planned Parenthood officials said that as a result of the cut, it "may have to close centers."  Planned Parenthood claims it has turned away 1502 clients because of the cut. The Obama administration issued a strong rebuke to New Hampshire officials, ordering the state to fund Planned Parenthood by August 15 or face the loss of federal health care funds.

Texas
And in Texas, where everything is bigger including Planned Parenthood taxpayer funding cuts, projected losses to Planned Parenthood's taxpayer funding over the next two years have just been upgraded to $58 million by Dr. Joe Pojman of the Texas Alliance for Life, who was instrumental in pushing the legislation through. The $58 million is a conglomeration of:

· Family Planning Grants: Title V, X, & XX -- $24 million. The prioritizing language in HB 1, the General Appropriations Bill, and in Senate Bill 7, a health care reform bill, puts these funds out of reach for Planned Parenthood.

· Medicaid Family Planning, Women's Health Program -- $34 million. Language in Senate Bill 7 excludes abortion providers and affiliates of abortion providers from being eligible contractors. Planned Parenthood has been receiving $17 million per year.

Planned Parenthood announced the closure of its Gainesville, TX, office effective August 29 due to reduced federal funding.  And STOPP of Dallas reports that when members went to pray at Planned Parenthood in Plano July 21, they found large signs on the doors saying the facility will be closing in late August due to the Texas legislature's funding cuts.  In addition to the two we have confirmed, we have reliable information that the following PP Texas facilities are scheduled to be shut down:

Closing in July/August

 1. Waxahachie

 2. Sherman

Closing September

 1. Mesquite Health Services

 2. Arlington North

 3. Terrell

Other closures due to decrease in funding
Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota announced that effective August 1, 2011, it will be closing its facilities in Thief River Falls, Brainerd, Red Wing, Owatonna, Albert Lea and Fairmont, MN, due to an 11 percent decrease in federal Title X funding.  Though no legislation has passed the Minnesota legislature, a bill was introduced to the state senate that would prohibit "family planning grants" to any organization that provides abortions, or has affiliates that provide abortions.

It is no secret that Planned Parenthood relies on taxpayer money to keep its doors open.  The $79.8 million that has been stripped from the abortion giant so far at the state level is only a fraction of its billion dollar bottom line, but the closures that have resulted show how very vulnerable it is to loss of taxpayer funding.

American Life League's Stop Planned Parenthood International just introduced a new online action center to keep you up to date on what is happening in the battle to defund Planned Parenthood and give you the resources you need to fight Planned Parenthood funding, all in one location.   Please visit us today at www.stopplannedparenthood.comand stay immersed in the battle to cut off all public funding to Planned Parenthood.  Then listen for the sound of closing doors, signaling the end of Planned Parenthood's reign of terror in our nation.
