Video: Govt Official Sends Sex Traffickers to Planned Parenthood
In a new video expose uncovering fraud in the Medicaid system, a conservative activists shows an Ohio state official referring people claiming to sexually traffic a young woman to the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

James O Keefe, founder of Project Veritas today released his latest undercover investigation. O Keefe is formerly associated with the pro-life group Live Action and was one of the original activists uncovering abuses at Planned Parenthood before forming a new organization focused on conservative expose videos.

During the visit, the fake Russian drug dealers ask the Department of Jobs and Family Services official, Does Medicaid cover abortion or reproductive services?

You know, I don t know, they cover a lot, the Ohio official, Franklin County Health Start coordinator Traci Daniels, responds. I m not real sure.

Well, if we have sister who needs abortions, the undercover activists respond, Well, sometimes we make deal and she might do a favor for person we make deal with some sort of sexual favor. Understand? That s what she likes to do and it helps business. So she needs lots of abortions.

The Ohio official responds, She Planned Parenthood would probably be where you d go for that. I mean, for free. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/07/18/video-govt-official-sends-sex-traffickers-to-planned-parenthood/

Gov. Rick Perry Inches Closer to Republican Presidential Run
Texas governor Rick Perry, who is pro-life, is inching closer and closer to announcing he will officially enter the Republican presidential contest. Speculation is running rampant that he will join the crowded field in the next few weeks.

Perry himself addressed the question over the weekend telling the Des Moines Register newspaper that he is even more likely to run for the GOP nomination against pro-abortion President Barack Obama than he previously indicated.

I m not ready to tell you that I m ready to announce that I m in, he said. But I m getting more and more comfortable every day that this is what I ve been called to do.

Perry s entrance into the race would shake up the polls as he is already polling in the top 5 in most national and early state polls where he has been included as a possible candidate. His ability to put together a strong campaign organization, his broad Texas fundraising base, and his experience as a state legislator and a three-time governor give Perry an edge that some political observers say can take him all the way to the nomination.

Some pundits suggest Perry will not enter the race until after the Ames, Iowa straw poll the second weekend of the month. Doing so would allow him to skip the highly-publicized event and not run the risk of finishing low in the straw poll because he only recently announced. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/07/18/gov-rick-perry-inches-closer-to-republican-presidential-run/

Politifact: Planned Parenthood Serves Few Prenatal Clients
Politifact, the fact-checking web site of the mainstream media, set out to disprove comments by a pro-life New Jersey legislator, only to validate the argument that the Planned Parenthood abortion business helps few pregnant women.

The fact that Planned Parenthood helps relatively few women are who are pregnant and want to carry to term and are considering that as an option is well established.

A factsheet the Planned Parenthood Federation of America prepared about its own figures earlier this year shows Planned Parenthood provided prenatal services to merely 7,021 women and referred only 977 women for adoption services. These numbers were a 25 percent drop in prenatal care clients and a whopping 59 percent decline in adoption referrals from the 2,405 adoption referrals in 2008. The abortion business helped only 9,433 prenatal clients in 2008, down substantially from the 11,000 women it provided prenatal care to in 2007 showing health care given to pregnant woman has fallen substantially over the years.

As a result, 97.6 percent of pregnant women going to Planned Parenthood are sold abortions while less than 2.4 percent of pregnant women received non-abortion services including adoption and prenatal care. That s up from 96.5 percent of pregnant women going to Planned Parenthood getting abortions in 2008.

Recently, when lawmakers in New Jersey debated whether or not to override a veto pro-life Gov. Chris Christie issued revoking taxpayer funding for the abortion business through the state family planning program, Republican Sen. Michael Doherty argued that the abortion giant does little to help pregnant women. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/07/18/politifact-planned-parenthood-serves-few-prenatal-clients/

Will Obama Admin Add Planned Parenthood Bailout to Obamacare?
On Wednesday, July 20, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) will make public its recommendation for what should be included in the preventive care for women mandate under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), the health care reform law passed by Congress in 2010. It seems likely the IOM announcement will spell doom for rights of conscience.

PPACA requires all private health insurance plans to provide coverage of preventive care for women, not just those plans participating in the insurance exchanges that the law requires be established by 2014. These services must be covered without cost-sharing, meaning these services must be fully covered without a co-pay. Significantly, this means that no American will be able to choose a health insurance plan that does not cover what is determined to be preventive care for women.

Instead of defining preventive care in the statute, Congress left this determination to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Tasked with advising HHS, the IOM serves an important role in determining what constitutes preventive care for women.

At the IOM s three public meetings on preventive care, groups that were invited to present to IOM on women s issues nearly all took a public stance in favor of abortion. The list included Planned Parenthood, the nation s largest abortion provider, who stands to gain financially if abortion and abortion-inducing drugs are included in this mandate. This huge conflict of interest was not disclosed at the meeting.

Of course, Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups have been pushing for the inclusion of contraception in the definition of preventive care ever since PPACA was passed. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/07/18/will-obama-admin-add-planned-parenthood-bailout-to-obamacare/

Report: British Agencies Pressure Women to Have Abortions
A new report issued in the United Kingdom alleges that two abortion businesses, the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (bpas) and Marie Stopes International (MSI), are pressuring women into having abortions.

The new Right to Know Campaign report reveals the NHS governmental health care system is sending women to two abortion businesses under the guise of obtaining abortion counseling and the women are finding themselves getting options counseling from someone selling abortions. The report provides evidence of the financial motivation of abortion providers to grow their market share and shows where counseling comes into conflict with a strong drive to promote abortion.

The report shows MSI and BPAS are strongly driven by financial motivations and see success in increasing the number of abortions that they perform. Both organizations employ Business Development experts to promote abortion and increase revenues. They have business plan objectives and targets to increase the number of abortions that they perform.

The great tragedy of this business-like approach is that women who are referred to bpas or MSI for an NHS abortion are denied access to any other source of independent counseling, the report contends. These abortion businesses depend on their income from providing and selling abortion and are not the appropriate place to provide pre-abortion counseling to vulnerable women who need support. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/07/18/report-british-agencies-pressure-women-to-have-abortions/

Hospital Upset Pro-Lifers Posted 911 Call of Botched Abortion
A University of New Mexico hospital is upset that pro-life advocates posted the audio they obtained of a woman who went there for an abortion. The abortion was botched and hospital officials told a 911 dispatcher the woman was crashing and her life and health was at risk because of the failed abortion.

As LifeNews.com reported earlier this month, Operation Rescue released the audio of the 911 call staffers at the UNM Center for Reproductive Health (UNMCRH) that contains information about the status of a 35-year old woman crashing after being given conscious sedation during an abortion that took place on February 15, 2011. In the call, voices can be heard calling the patient s name and urging her to breathe as she groans and gasps for air.

We have a patient who is crashing right now, the caller from the abortion business tells the 911 dispatcher. At the dispatcher s request, the call was transferred to the abortion room where another clinic worker described the patient as grayish in color. Once the call was transferred, the disturbing sounds of the patient s suffering and struggling for life became clearly evident. She is unresponsive right now, the abortion center staffer adds. Yeah, can you hear them, the staffer tells 911, They re calling her name out right now. I m not in the room with them, I can just hear what s happening. Asked the age of the patient, the caller says, The patient? Let me see, Lisa, Lisa, um, 1975? She s 35?

UNM officials told the New Mexico Daily Lobo newspaper that they believe the privacy rights of the patient, whose medical condition is unknown, were violated by posting the audio obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request. However, the audio does not provide the full name of the patient (only her first name) and no other identifying details about her are given. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/07/18/hospital-upset-pro-lifers-posted-911-call-of-botched-abortion/
