NYC Mayor Elect Threatens to shut down EMC & Abort More! Dear Friends, Mayor Elect Bill de Blasio has, in effect, threatened NYC's oldest, largest, and most effective pregnancy center organization, EMC FrontLine, with new legal attacks when he takes over the New York City government in January. The day after his election, with a whopping 73% of the vote, it was revealed in the pro-life press that de Blasio threatened to come after "sham" pregnancy centers, with ongoing legislation simply because we don't abort babies. Since EMC is the largest pregnancy center organization in NYC with sites in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Queens we will be clearly be a primary target of his. The Mayor elect also stated he wants to expand abortion business in America's "Abortion Capital," with free or subsidized city properties and assistance! These promises he made are despite the fact that NYC is already infamously at a 40% abortion rate now, with close to 4.5 million abortions committed here since July 1st, 1970. Please help me stop de Blasio in his tracks with a strong public relations effort, and by securing the ongoing financial strength to keep open our long standing centers in the four primary NYC boroughs. This third Attorney General attack is part of the relentless efforts of blood-thirsty, abortion advocate politicians to permanently scalp EMC's ability to reach abortion minded women with our life-saving counseling and ultrasounds.  EMC has made good progress pushing back this intimidation tactic, and in State Court last week  State Supreme Court Judge Joan B. Lefkowitz refused to grant Schneiderman's subpoena, until the State provides actual evidence one is necessary. She gave them just three weeks to come up with actual evidence of wrong doing, which they so far, could not produce. EMC remains the only pregnancy center in lower NY State to provide on-site ultrasounds, and pre-natal care to mothers in desperate need, who would otherwise abort.
