ASSISTED SUICIDE - A “DIGNIFIED”
DEATH OR THE PERFECT CRIME?
Assisted suicide is often positioned in the media as a “quick” and "dignified" death. But is it?
Did you know that, while most assisted suicide deaths occur rapidly, some patients linger for hours or even days after the lethal drugs are ingested? In response to these slow and often painful deaths, the assisted suicide lobby has been experimenting with lethal drug cocktails. The goal of these experiments, which are being done on human beings, is to create cheaper and more effective ways to kill. These drug cocktails have burned patients’ mouths and throats, causing some to scream in pain. (Source: Preventing the spread of Assisted Suicide in America.)
So, if assisted suicides are not the “quick” and “dignified” deaths the assisted suicide lobby wants us to believe they are, could these deaths actually be crimes? In an article posted on the “Choice” is an Illusion website, Margaret Dore, Esq, details a few thought-provoking considerations including:
- Assisting persons can have an agenda.
- If the patient struggled, who would know?
- The death certificate will list a “terminal illness” as the cause of death.

Important!
Today, there are 13 states debating bills to legalize assisted suicide. These states are Arizona, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, and Rhode Island. Additionally, assisted suicide expansion bills are being debated in California, Hawaii, and Washington State.
In the words of Alex Schadenberg, Executive Director, Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, “We need to dispel the myth that assisted suicide provides a peaceful death. Politicians need to recognize that assisted suicide is not a progressive issue. Legalizing assisted suicide gives power over life and death to physicians (expansion bills allow others). It is normal for people to fear a bad death, but giving physicians, and others, the power to cause death is a dangerous public policy that can and is being abused.” (Source: Preventing the spread of Assisted Suicide in America.)
