Legislative Alert
The Constitutional Amendment to keep abortion out of the PA Constitution has now been introduced in the state legislature. Senate Bill 956 would ensure that there is no right to abortion or taxpayer funding of abortion in the PA Constitution. To read the text of the amendment, click HERE.
Action Item:
It
is critically important that we contact our PA state representative and
state senator and urge them to support this Constitutional Amendment.
You can contact your state lawmakers conveniently online HERE.
Background:
The
abortion industry has gone to court to try to establish a so-called
right to abortion and taxpayer funding of abortion under the PA
Constitution. The case is now before the PA Supreme Court. If the
abortion industry wins the case, all of our pro-life laws could be wiped
out. That
would mean taxpayer funding of abortion, no ban on late-term abortion,
no parental consent for abortion, no 24-hour waiting period for
abortion, no inspection and regulation of abortion facilities.
Tragically, it could mean abortions up to the moment of birth in
Pennsylvania. In
order to stop this disastrous scenario from occurring, we need a
Constitutional Amendment to keep abortion out of the PA Constitution.
Please share this alert with your pro-life friends, family members, and
all appropriate lists.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration,
Bowing to Pressure from Pro-Abortion Groups,
Allows Abortions by Mail
WASHINGTON
– On Thursday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made
permanent its April 2021 order that removed the required in-person
doctor’s visit for women seeking a chemical abortion. Today’s decision
by the FDA allows the abortion pills, mifepristone and misoprostol, to
be distributed by mail after a woman has a telehealth call with an
abortion provider.
“The FDA’s decision today places women at risk,” said Carol Tobias, President of the National Right to Life Committee. “These
changes do not make this abortion process safer for women. What these
changes do is make the process easier for the abortion industry.” CONTINUE READING

Opening Every Gift
By Bonnie Finnerty, Education Director
(This article was first published in National Right to Life News Today in December 2020.)
In
this season of gift-giving, pretty packages with glittery ribbons
abound, stirring curiosity and creating anticipation. The completely
unexpected gift is often the best. Someone takes us by surprise, filling
us with a sense of delight and wonder as we carefully unwrap the layers
to discover whatever treasure lies within. Imagine, however, we never
open the gift. Perhaps the packaging is not what we expected. CONTINUE READING
