Hemet, California
The Hemet campaign saved a baby on the sidewalk just hours before Ramona arrived at the vigil.
"[The mother's] abusive boyfriend wanted her to get an abortion," reported John, the local leader. "She broke up with him and is now on the verge of homelessness."
The
woman arrived at the abortion facility with no idea how to take care of
a baby. She left with an appointment at the local pregnancy help center
the very next day, information on a maternity home, and a promise to vigil participants that she would keep her baby.
Just a few days earlier, John showed an abortion-bound couple crisis pregnancy resources as well as pictures of unborn babies.
The mom was moved. "I guess I should cancel my abortion appointment," she told him.
