We are at war—a spiritual war. The devil is hard at work, and
it’s important we stand firm in the truth. The devil works to destroy
from within. For over half a century from within the Catholic faith, the
demonic battle to justify murdering babies through abortion has been
waged by false prophets, pretenders, and deceivers. The intentional
great harm and confusion has resulted in 70 million dead babies.
This week, a group of 30 House Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi
released a statement justifying the slaughter of children through
abortion, insidiously stating that their Catholic faith compels them to
support the murder of babies.
These false prophets and deceivers of the truth stated:
“The fundamental tenets of our Catholic faith — social justice,
conscience, and religious freedom — compel us to defend a woman’s right
to access abortion.”
The devil is clever. He uses words to confuse and mislead. But
the truth is invincible, and those intentionally perverting the Catholic
faith to justify murder are vipers.
This group of 30 lost souls also wrote: “As Catholic Democrats
serving in the House of Representatives, we are proud that we are part
of the faithful pro- [abortion] Catholic majority.”
Utter nonsense. The support of abortion forfeits your
Catholicism. You are spiritually and morally devoid of grace and filled
with things that only make it worse. Humility, repentance, and
generosity are the only way out of the demonic spiritual stronghold of
support for killing babies.
But there is good news, outstanding news!
American Life League would like to thank and applaud the
courage of the leadership of the United States Conference of Catholic
Bishops: Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio, president of the USCCB; Bishop
Michael F. Burbidge of Arlington, chairman of the USCCB’s Committee on
Pro-Life Activities; and Bishop Daniel E. Flores of Brownsville,
chairman of the USCCB’s Committee on Doctrine.
These men courageously corrected the deception of these 30
Democrats. And believe me when I say that there are forces that never
sleep as they look to silence, intimidate, and destroy the voices of
courage and truth in defense of Christ and the teachings of His Church.
These brave shepherds wrote in part:
“Members of Congress who recently invoked teachings of the Catholic
faith itself as justifying abortion or supporting a supposed right to
abortion grievously distort the faith. It is wrong and incoherent to
claim that the taking of innocent human life at its most vulnerable
stage can ever be consistent with the values of supporting the dignity
and wellbeing of those in need,” the US bishops stated.”
The statement makes it clear that such deception is false and has no place in Catholicism.
Join me in applauding these brave men and praying for them and
faithful Catholics everywhere to stand up against the wickedness and
snares of the devil.
