Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Who's behind the public policies that have led to millions dead from abortion?
When the killing of human beings becomes a pre-meditated methodical policy — put forward as a public good — massive slaughter results, and can be called a “holocaust.”
History puts a face on leaders who considered mass murder a political “good” — leaders like Adolph Hitler of Germany, Mehmet Talaat of Turkey, Pol Pot of Cambodia, Mao of China and Joseph Stalin of Russia.
But what about American leaders responsible for our own ongoing holocaust: abortion? History has yet to put a face to them, but those who value the sanctity of human life are obligated to ferret them out and hold them responsible.
This is the latest in an occasional California Catholic Daily series, “Faces of the American Holocaust,” in which we put faces to those behind the mass murder of innocents in the U.S.

The abortion Nightmare TV ad shows a woman in a nightmare -- seeing babies murdered under Obama's policies -- while Obama's voice intones: "I believe in Roe vs. Wade...I don't want my daughters punished with a baby." Horrific images of aborted children fill her nightmare; she wakes in a cold sweat and says: "I can't vote for Obama again."

The Miracle of Life
November 1, 2012 (Deu 30:19) I call heaven and earth to witness this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Choose therefore life, that both thou and thy seed may live: VIDEO: The Miracle of Life
VIA Reader: The Empty Chair by Dr. Rebecca Peck, MD, Marquette NFP Instructor At a recent Stand Up for Freedom rally, I placed an empty chair by my podium as I spoke to the energized crowd. Perhaps they thought I was referring to Clint Eastwood's skit during the RNC. I explained that I had a story to tell and we travelled back in time to 1965, when a young college student was raped by a man she barely knew. Her doctor was Catholic too and instead of recommending an abortion, he thankfully directed her to Catholic Charities, which found a loving, older couple to adopt the child. The baby grew up with much love, went on to medical school where she met her husband. They now operate a pro-life family practice and are blessed to have 6 beautiful children. I then asked the crowd to imagine what would happen if this story occurred in the year 2014, when “ObamaCare” was fully implemented. The young woman would probably be strongly encouraged to take one of the morning after pills, provided to her at no cost. If that did not kill the new young life, she would be offered an elective abortion, also free, paid for by insurance premiums of participating members (i.e. us). If somehow the young woman resisted the morning-after pills and the free elective abortion, she would be hard pressed to find a Catholic Charities that was still operating. You see, the HHS mandate by this point would have forced Catholic Charities out of business. I then reminded the gathering about the empty chair. If this Culture of Death, which typifies the new health care law was in effect when this young woman was raped, you would be looking at that empty chair, for her story is MY story - the story of my conception. And I asked the crowd how many empty chairs are among us today? How many lives have been extinguished by the horror of abortion? How many husbands would not have their wives, how many children would not have their mothers, how many patients would not have their doctors. Let us not tolerate this Culture of Death any longer. Let us vote to uphold the sanctity of each and every life. Dr. Rebecca Peck, MD, CCD, ABFM, Marquette NFP Instructor

1688 W Granada Blvd, Ste 2A Ormond Beach, FL 32174 EXCERPT CRISIS MAGAZINE: It’s About Contraception Inwardly, religiously, we understand ourselves to be engaged in a cosmic battle between the forces of life and love on the one hand, and death and destruction on the other. Jesus has rescued us from death. Now our mission is to “make a return,” by fostering a culture of life and building a civilization of love. That’s the over-arching purpose of our lives; we strive to make it the theme of all our individual acts. The first principle of that program, laid down by St. Augustine (and Hippocrates before him), is “Do no harm.” We can’t do good by committing evil. No matter how noble our goal, it’s not okay to hurt persons as a means of achieving it. We can’t collude with wrong; we can’t subsidize the objectification of women and other injuries to the dignity of persons; we can’t facilitate the killing of innocents; we can’t betray our central vocation. When the federal government uses the force of law to mandate that Catholic institutions and businesses provide birth control and sterilizations and abortifacient drugs to their employees, it is, in effect, seeking to conscript the Church into the service of the culture of death as a condition of our participation in society. It is no side issue. It is no glancing blow. It is a stake aimed at the very heart of Catholic life. If we are serious about our mission and identity as Catholics, we must stand against this evil much more forcefully than we have up to now. The time is very short.MORE FROM DR. Parents, beware: Planned Parenthood pushing TOP program
With both parents working and the harried lifestyle that invariably follows when mom heads off to work every day, the question arises: Who is minding the children? Enter Planned Parenthood, pushing wheelbarrows of money provided to it by the federal government—money derived from the toil of those parents who are struggling to provide the best life they can for their children.
Planned Parenthood is using this money to partner with school districts in its disgusting “comprehensive” sex education programs, banking on the fact that parents are too busy making a living to do a thorough examination of what their children are being taught at school. One of those programs is TOP (Teen Outreach Program), which is spreading throughout the nation at an alarming rate.
Obamacare is funneling $75 million annually into a cesspool referred to as PREP education (Personal Responsibility Education Program), which must be used exclusively for Planned Parenthood-style “comprehensive” sex ed programs. More than one-fourth of the funds—$20 million—has been awarded to a coalition of six Planned Parenthood affiliates, operating under the name Northwest Coalition for Adolescent Health, to implement the TOP program across Montana, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Alaska at over 50 sites. We reported on the TOP program in Oregon schools recently, where Planned Parenthood is paying children cash incentives to participate.
A Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services document says Wyman’s TOP™ is in over 400 organizations and schools in the United States, Virgin Islands, and the United Kingdom.
The TOP program claims to have gone through rigorous evaluation and is pushed using statistics and grants that entice school districts to say “yes” without even looking at the full program.
The claims about TOP from the Planned Parenthood of Columbia Willamette website include these results:
• 53 percent reduction in the risk of teen pregnancy or fathering a child
• 52 percent reduction in the risk of school suspension
• 60 percent reduction in the risk of course failure
Those statistics are provided by a 2001 report from Susan Philliber, of Philliber Research Associates, who is tied to Planned Parenthood through other evaluation projects. (Note: $6.5 million of the PREP money is set aside for such demonstration and evaluations.) She is also tied to Planned Parenthood through evaluation of the disgusting “Bedsider” program, which we discuss in more detail here. According to Philliber’s website, her company is “often sought as a trainer to conduct workshops on ‘what works’ in teen pregnancy prevention or to train programs to evaluate their work.”
A report by the Promising Practices Network regarding the evaluation methods of Philliber, et al., calls into question the reliability of the statistics being used to promote TOP.
Planned Parenthood sex education feeds its abortion, contraception, and STD treatment business. Its sex programs are really the incarnation of its secular humanist plan to steal the innocence of our children, divide families by driving a wedge between parents and children at a very early age, and get kids hooked on sex, using the hard-earned money of their parents to do so.
Parents, grandparents, pastors, and all those who care about children and the survival of our society: Today is the day to go to the local school—be it public or private—and do a thorough investigation about what your children are being taught about human sexuality in all courses across the curriculum. What you find could be the key to saving hundreds of thousands of children from lives of sexual enslavement that prevents them from finding and living God’s plan for their lives.
Jim Sedlak points out in a recent article the threat posed by these school-based programs and the steps parents should take to oust them:
• Investigate what is happening in YOUR school.
• Document any problems you find.
• Alert other parents to the problems.
• Meet with school officials to get the problems out.
• If the school officials refuse to listen, take your complaints to the school board.
• Conduct a peaceful, respectful campaign until the problems are gone.
For specific instructions, read Jim’s book Parent Power!! which is available online at no cost.
Recently, we reported a huge victory in Houston, where we have been working with parents and other concerned citizens to oust It’s Your Game: Keep it Real—another government funded program.
Please e-mail us at stopp@all.org if you need help in fighting Planned Parenthood in your local schools.
