China: Angry Protests Follow Brutal Seven-Month Forced Abortion
Angry protests are taking place in China following a brutal forced abortion that saw a woman forcibly aborted at seven months of pregnancy on June 3 in Shanxi Province, China.

A report from the China-based human rights organization 64Tianwang indicates the woman, Feng Jianmei, was beaten and dragged into a vehicle by a group of family planning officials while her husband, Deng Jiyuan, was out working.

The officials asked for RMB 40,000 in fines from Feng Jianmei s family and, when they did not receive the money, they forcibly aborted Feng at seven months, laying the body of her aborted baby next to her in the bed (pictured right). Feng is under medical treatment in Ankang City, Zhenpin County, Zengjia Town, Yupin village. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/14/china-angry-protests-follow-brutal-seven-month-forced-abortion/

Obama Challenged to Publicly Condemn Forced Abortions
President Barack Obama has received a challenge from a top pro-life group to publicly condemn sex-selection abortions in light of a brutal forced abortion of a Chinese woman who was seven months pregnant when her baby was killed. Obama has come under fire from pro-life advocates for opposing a bill in Congress that would have banned forced abortions.

Today, following continued international outrage over a photo of a Chinese woman forced to abort her child at seven months pregnant, Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser called on President Obama to condemn China s One-Child Policy and immediately cut off funding for the United Nation s Population Fund (UNFPA) through an Executive Order. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/14/obama-challenged-to-publicly-condemn-forced-abortions/

Pro-Abortion Activist Sandra Fluke Endorses Obama
Pro-abortion activist Sandra Fluke has unveiled her personal endorsement of President Obama in an editorial published by CNN. Her support for Obama stems primarily from his pro-abortion healthcare law and the HHS mandate.

Fluke attacks Mitt Romney s pro-life position in the editorial and says Romney lacks the leadership to stand up to extremists in his own party. Contrary to Fluke s characterization, it s President Obama and the pro-abortion movement that hold the extreme position on healthcare. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/14/pro-abortion-activist-sandra-fluke-endorses-obama/

Obama s Racially Divisive Ad Mirrors Abortion Industry Targeting
Who needs originality when you can settle for used? The same Obama campaign machine that repurposed Bob the Builder s YES WE CAN chant to a presidential campaign slogan, ha done it again with the latest We ve Got Your Back radio ad. Never mind that three years ago a liberal Jewish peace organization, Brit Tzedek V Shalom, merged with the leftist Soros-funded J Street PAC, and declared, We ve Got Your Back as their effort to support the President s foreign policy.

But Brit Tzedek V Shalom s version just didn t have that sizzle. This week, urban radio stations across the country have been served a plate of hot campaign cheese, riddled with old-school R&B canned music, and a jingle with the flavor of a Saturday Night Live skit. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/14/obamas-racially-divisive-ad-mirrors-abortion-industry-targeting/

Additional Gallup Data Proves America Trending Strongly Pro-Life
The recent Gallup survey that showed a significant decrease in pro-choice sentiment has received plenty of media attention. However, Gallup s release of additional data from that survey last week has received considerably less coverage. In some respects, it is almost as if Gallup is using the release of this new data to downplay the results of their May survey. Gallup s announcement specifically highlights various demographic groups that are strongly pro-choice including the non-religious and those with post-graduate degrees.

This new data demographically breaks down the results of the original abortion survey. Most of these results are unsurprising to people who are familiar with abortion opinion data. Christians, those over 55, low-income earners, and those with less formal education are more likely to be pro-life. Conversely, those who espouse no religion, women of reproductive age, and high-income earners are more likely to describe themselves as pro-choice. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/14/additional-gallup-data-proves-america-trending-strongly-pro-life/

Senate Democrats Pushing Tax-Funded Abortions in D.C.
Senate Democrats are, once again, pushing for taxpayer-funded abortions in the nation s capital as they approved a spending bill for the District of Columbia earlier this week that removes the current ban on D.C. abortion funding.

The Appropriations subcommittee passed a Democratic-sponsored measure providing $676 million in federal funds for the District, including money for abortions for any reason. The measure is different from the House version that Republicans have approved with the abortion funding ban remaining in place and it sets up a likely conference committee battle between House Republicans and Senate Democrats over the funding. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/14/senate-democrats-pushing-tax-funded-abortions-in-d-c/

India: Father Kills Girl Baby; Body Had Bite Marks, Cigarette Burns
In a brutal infanticide case in India, a father killed a three-month-old baby girl because he was upset his wife did not give birth to the son he preferred.

Indian cultural values show preference to boys over girls and, as was the case in this incident, the father was upset his wife did not give birth to a male heir and, instead, had a girl baby for whom he would have had to have shelled out $1,800 dollars for a wedding. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/14/india-father-kills-girl-baby-body-had-bite-marks-cigarette-burns/

Phony Death Panel Definition Won t Make the Issue Go Away
The Medical Establishment continues to try and misdirect the conversation on the pending threat of death panels under Obamacare. They pretend it is about end of life discussions. But even though Sarah Palin mistakenly made that allusion when she first coined the term, she quickly corrected her mistake as we noted here. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/06/14/phony-death-panel-definition-wont-make-the-issue-go-away/
