Sebelius to appear at fundraiser for disreputable Planned Parenthood group
Kansas City, MO - May 14, 2007 - Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius is scheduled to appear at a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri tomorrow evening. The group has been under investigation for illegally concealing child rape and committing illegal late term abortions by the former state attorney general, who left office before his investigations could be completed.
Planned Parenthood organizations around the nation - including the Kansas and Mid-Missouri affiliate - have been caught on tape by a Texas pro-life group coaching what they thought to be a pregnant 13-year old caller on how to protect her allegedly 22-year old boyfriend from being reported as a suspected statutory rapist.
Sebelius' name has been mentioned as a possible vice presidential nominee for the Democratic Party or cabinet appointee should a Democrat will the presidency. She has sparked controversy by accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from late-term abortionist George R. Tiller, who was charged with 30 criminal counts related to illegal late-term abortions, only to have them dismissed by one of Sebelius' political cronies, District Attorney Nola Foulston, also a supporter of radical abortion rights.
Sebelius professes to be Catholic, but her avid support for abortion is in conflict to the teachings of her church. Pope Benedict XVI has said that he believes that politicians who support abortion should be excommunicated.
"Sebelius' appearance at a Planned Parenthood fundraiser demonstrates her radical support for abortion even at the expense of little girls whose sexual abusers use abortion clinics to cover for their crimes," said Operation Rescue Troy Newman. "That shows she is out of step with mainstream America, that is becoming increasingly pro-life and is overwhelmingly opposed to abortion industry protection of child sexual predators," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "We encourage everyone who can to join the protest tomorrow evening against Sebelius for her support of Planned Parenthood."
