Dear Friends,
The United Nations Human Rights
Committee, despite its name, regularly attacks nations with pro-life
laws. Now the Committee had gone a terrible step further; its latest
ambition is to deny the Unborn the Right to Life. Currently, The United
Nations' International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR)
reads in Article 6: "Every human being has the inherent right to
life. This right shall be protected by law. No one shall be arbitrarily
deprived of his life."
To stop the Committee from making abortion a "right", which
would open the door to abortion in all its terrible forms, Human Life
International has joined with C-FAM, the Center for Family and Human
Rights, and six other groups in sponsoring a crucial petition on the
Right to Life in international law. This petition will be delivered in
by October and insist that the United Nations must not be allowed to
redefine natural law.
