Thank you for your calls to state lawmakers urging them to use their influence to stop abortions during the coronavirus crisis.
Fifty-five PA House members have signed a letter, calling on Governor Tom Wolf to take action against Planned Parenthood. The abortion giant is continuing to perform abortions, despite a statewide directive banning elective surgical procedures during the coronavirus crisis.
The lawmakers state, “We are sure you will find the fact that Planned Parenthood is continuing to perform elective abortions in their facilities is as disturbing at this time of crisis and incongruent with all other directives coming from your Department of Health.”
The letter further states that neighboring states such as Ohio and Maryland have ordered Planned Parenthood to stop doing abortions so that personal protective equipment and medical supplies can be used for coronavirus patients needing care. “Pennsylvania should do the same,” the lawmakers write.
House members say they are looking forward to the Governor’s response.
