THE TERRORISM OF TRANSGENDERISM

A friend who lives near Seattle called my attention to an article by Abigail Shrier, author of the book Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters. Her article, “When the State Comes for Your Kids,” reads like a horror story but it is terrifyingly true.
Ms. Shrier exposes how children in Washington State are indoctrinated with gender ideology in school, end up in the clutches of “healthcare” providers who convince them they were born in the wrong body, and are legally snatched from parents who “aren’t supportive” of their child’s newfound identity.
In Washington State, the age at which children can receive mental health and gender-affirming care without parental permission is 13.
Ahmed’s story
Several families recounted their horrifying experiences. The first was told by Ahmed, a Pakistani immigrant and faithful Muslim. In October 2020, he was a frightened father who reached out to Abigail Shrier. Days earlier, he and his wife had admitted their 16-year-old son to Seattle Children’s Hospital for credible threats of suicide. The hospital’s mental health experts sent an email telling them they should take their “daughter” to the gender clinic. They also used a new name for him. Ahmed was told that the only way his son would get better was to change his gender. Ms. Shrier reports, “Ahmed’s cool head prevailed. Believing he might be walking into a trap, Ahmed reached out to both a lawyer and a psychiatrist friend he trusted.” Following his friend’s advice to “Just say ‘Uh-huh, uh-huh, okay, let’s take him home, and we’ll go to the gender clinic,” Ahmed told the hospital he would take his son to the clinic, collected him from the hospital, quit his job, and moved his family out of Washington. Less than a year later, Ahmed’s son is “no longer suicidal, nor does he believe he is transgender.”
Families should not have to take such drastic measures to save their children from “healthcare” providers armed with junk science and insane laws.
“What kind of father would I be…?”
The case of Canadian Robert Hoogland ("Canadian Father Jailed...") also should serve as a warning. The British Colombia Supreme Court ordered that Mr. Hoogland’s daughter begin receiving testosterone injections when she was 14 years old, regardless of parental consent, and declared that, if either of the girl’s parents referred to her “as a girl or with female pronouns,” that parent would be considered guilty of family violence. Mr. Hoogland was jailed for defying the court order. He asked, “What kind of father would I be if, let’s say in 5, 10 years, my daughter is detransitioning, and she turns to me and says, ‘Why did none of you do anything to stop this? I was a child. None of you stuck your neck out for me back then. You just let me do it because I was a[n] immature kid, thinking this was something great.’ When my daughter asks me that question, I’ll say, ‘I did everything that I possibly could.’” This devastated father continued, “Whatever happens to me pales in comparison to what’s already happened to my daughter.”
Against parents’ wishes, children are being coached to have irreversible things done to their bodies which are too horrendous to describe here. And this is happening in many places. Soon there may be no safe place to run to escape the terrorism of transgenderism.
