If you have watched The Lord of The Rings, you must be familiar with Gríma Wormtongue, the snake tongued advisor, who whispers poison into the ears of the king, weakening his resolve to rule justly. The effect of Planned Parenthood’s whisperings into our Governor’s ears is certainly evident in his latest announcement to defund Real Alternatives – an organization that provides real alternatives to abortion by offering maternity and baby care, counselling, adoption referrals and pregnancy resources.
Help Pregnant Women Now!
In a shocking move, Governor Josh Shapiro announced he plans to cancel the contract of Real Alternatives, which administers the program which funds pregnancy resource centers, maternity homes, and adoption agencies throughout the Commonwealth.
Please call the leaders of the General Assembly with this message: “I stand with pregnant women. Please help to save Real Alternatives’ contract.”

A pro-life pregnancy center saved me from a life of human trafficking
Not long ago, I stood before the Vermont Senate and testified about my experience as a human trafficking survivor who became the first black female pregnancy center director in the state. I had been asked to testify against a bill targeting pro-life pregnancy help centers, falsely claiming that we "mislead" the public about our services.
But my story puts the lie to this narrative and proves the beautiful truth of our work — that pregnancy centers love, serve and commit ourselves to the men, women and children of our communities who need our help. We know firsthand how our assistance can transform someone’s life.

The Instinct to Mother
Six months ago I left a job I loved, coworkers I admired, and a mission I wholeheartedly believed in. In some ways it was a difficult decision.But then again, it was also quite simple.

Pioneers of a universal right to suicide
At the end of this month a Toronto man will appear in court charged with abetting suicide. This is not, as you might think, a case of mercy killing - a grieving husband who wants to stop the suffering of his cancer-riddled wife or a devoted son who has exhausted himself in nursing his aged mother.
Such crimes are still murders, for no one has a right to take the life of an innocent human being. But a mistaken belief that a loved one will be spared suffering extenuates the murderer’s guilt.
