Contact Your Member of Congress Now to End all Federal Funding of Abortion

Dear Friends,
Great news! As I have told you, pro-life action is starting right away in the new Congress!
The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote Tuesday, January 24, to end all taxpayer funding of abortion.
They will vote on H.R. 7 – the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.

H.R. 7 must be approved!

You may be familiar with the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.  Congressman Chris Smith (NJ) has introduced the measure in prior sessions of Congress.  Last Congress, the House passed the bill, but it died in the Senate after President Obama threatened to veto it.
This year, with President Donald Trump already having promised to sign the measure, we have a real chance to enact the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act into law.

H.R. 7 is vital in three important ways.

It will write the Hyde Amendment into permanent law.  Currently, the Hyde Amendment, which has saved an estimated 2 million lives by restricting abortion funding for programs such as Medicaid, must be approved every year by Congress.  H.R. 7 will make it permanent, so that it isn't necessary to have this annual budget battle.
It will extend the Hyde Amendment so that it covers all federal spending, not just programs funded through the Health and Human Services spending bill. This will therefore make it unnecessary for Congress to have multiple votes on multiple measures each year regarding abortion funding from various government funding sources.
And it will end taxpayer funding of abortion through Obamacare.
Our pro-life victories at the ballot box last November can now be translated into pro-life victories in Congress.  We cannot let up.  We must contact our Representatives and let them know that we want the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act approved!
And the first step in this approval process is to have the House of Representatives pass H.R. 7.

That’s why it’s imperative that you contact your Member of Congress today and ask him or her to support the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.

We must use every chance we get to advance the cause of life!

And please make this call no matter how pro-life or how pro-abortion your Representative may be. The purpose of the call to those who will vote for this measure no matter what is to show them how much support they have, so that they can use those numbers to back up their colleagues.
And the purpose of the call to those who will vote against this measure no matter what is to also show them how many of their constituents favor the measure.
And then there are others who will vote for it depending upon how many calls they get!
