Unfortunately, I have been fighting for the unborn for my whole life...

Let us serve together until we go home.

Unfortunately, I have been fighting for the unborn for my whole life. I wish that wasn’t the case. I wish that our nation had long ago turned from its sins and  abortion was just a sad memory of the past. I wish that Heritage House was no longer necessary and our pro-life materials sat unneeded. In truth, our entire company would rejoice if we found abortion ended and ourselves unemployed. But even as I wish this, I know people like you are out there working to make it a reality.  You are giving your time, efforts, money, prayers, and so much more for the unborn and their mothers.  And it is this great work you are doing that makes you some of the most important people on Earth.

In Mark 9:35, Jesus turned the world’s ranking system on its head. He told us to become important in His eyes by becoming a servant of all. What we sometimes miss is that He was making a statement in fact.  We may say things like, there is “God’s way” and the “World’s way,” but we truly should keep it simple; there is truth and there are lies.  When Jesus taught us that to be first in His eyes we must serve, He was describing an ultimate reality - not a second opinion to be weighed against the first. In short, He was telling us that the world’s ranking is utterly and absolutely false and the only truly important people are those serve God and others.

In your selfless work toward ending abortion you are showing yourselves to be truly important. Your love and attention given to young mothers, your acceptance and forgiveness shown to people of all walks of life, and the work you do to support the unborn ALL expose the reality of your importance.  Even as I type this, I expect it makes you uncomfortable to be called important, but this is God’s truth.  You have chosen to glorify God with your time and efforts and we are blessed to serve alongside such important people as you. I am filled with joy that we are working together to serve God and His children. May it always be so, no matter the fight, no matter the cost, but always for God’s glory.

On this, the 45 anniversary of the Roe-v-Wade decision, we want to say thank you for being important in a way that is eternal. It is an honor and a joy to be your partners in life.

Sincerely,

The Heritage House '76 Staff
